Have the time of your life; be a Scout! Thursdays at 7:30 at First Church Congregational. Troop 82 exists to serve boys so they can achieve their full potential.

Troop 82 has been an active Boy Scout Troop since the 1920's at The First Church Congregational in Fairfield, Connecticut. We are a very proud Troop, especially of the 150+ boys who have attained the highest rank in Scouting, THE EAGLE SCOUT. The program is for Scouts and is as successful and rewarding as each of us makes it. We accomplish this thru a program designed to instill core values so they can make ethical choices over their lifetime, and offering activities year-round affording the opportunity for skills development and leadership potential.

Amazing Court of Honor last, co-hosted by our 82/182 SPLs. 135 merit badges, 31 rank advancements, and over 60 special awards (including Polar Bear, Year-Round Camper, Whitewater Rafting, Appalachian Trail segments, and test lab merit badges) were awarded. We also celebrated our 1st Place Camporee finish and ate well afterwards. Thank you as always to our chartering organization and host, First Church, for supporting us in our Scouting journey.

Successful first joint Camporee with a combined 82/182 patrol. Scouts rocked the challenges including fire building, first aid, and catapult building, and came away with 1st place!

More photos from our fantastic annual backpacking trip to the Appalachian Trail. We had 20 Scouts in 3 groups hiking 25 miles of total trail - segments 1, 2, and 3. 8 of these scouts were making their first AT backpacking trip. We had great weather and beautiful scenery. We'll be back again next year!

Brownie points all around. First Church has now made 450 batches of fudgy brownies for Nourish Bridgeport's Feel the Warmth program. Shout out to Esben of BSA Troop 82 Fairfield, CT for taking his turn at the mixing bowl to help make the nOURish's Thursday night dinners at the Harrison Apartments in Bridgeport a little sweeter.

Want to join the baking squad? Church members can sign up in our Weekly Word newsletter to rise to the occasion.
