Welcome to the 2026-2027 school year!

Our PTA is so excited to kick off another exciting year of partnership and community building at Daniels Run Elementary School.

My name is Beth Brixius and I am your Daniels Run PTA President. This is my 11th consecutive year as a Daniels Run parent, and this community has become like family as my children navigate their elementary years. This is my tenth year on the Daniels Run PTA Board and I am thrilled to delve into the exciting programming we have planned for this school year.

Our PTA thrives on a strong connection with teachers, staff and administration, prioritizing student and family involvement at the center of those partnerships. This week, we welcomed new and returning staff with a PTA Luncheon, where we shared our goals and collaborated on making a difference in the lives of our dragons this year. We also left a small sweet treat in the lounge to thank our great educators as they start working with our students Monday morning. We will spend the next few weeks working with our administrators to cultivate and blend our shared values of community and family engagement.

The Daniels Run PTA is excited for upcoming events like our Back to School Picnic on September 17th from 5-7pm. Please stop by and connect with your Daniels Run community on the blacktop after you visit with your classroom teacher. We will have Food Trucks selling dinner options and a free sweet treat from our PTA partner, Kona Ice, for each of our dragon students.
Joining our organization requires no commitment on your part. No meetings, no volunteering—your membership is a donation that funds our programming, allowing us to host events like our Back to School Picnic, Book Fair, Bingo Night, Donuts with Dragons, Ice Skating Family Night and more. You can 'PTA Your Way' with no time commitment required.
While we are always welcome new members and volunteers, please understand that joining the PTA does NOT obligate you to give your time. You may also choose to make a donation to the PTA with or without becoming a member.
We will hold our first PTA Meeting of the new school year on Tuesday, September 1st @ 7:30pm virtually on Google Meet. Join us to hear from Principal Mullen and the PTA about upcoming events within our community.

Calling all incoming kindergarten students and families! Join us for our Kindergarten Playdates on July 9 and August 11 from 5:30 to 6:30 pm at the DRES playground.
