Join us today 9/5 and Sunday 9/6 - we’re waiving adoption fees on select pets as part of , thanks to our collaboration with the ASPCA, because when we work together, we save more lives.

Scallop needs your support 💛

Sweet, scared Scallop arrived injured, in pain, and heavily pregnant. She had been caught in a fence and her foot was almost completely amputated, with a fracture above the hock and exposed bone. Our vet team acted fast to treat her pain, remove the unsalvageable foot, and stabilize her.

Because we didn’t know when she’d go into labor, we waited to amputate the rest of her damaged leg until we knew she was safe. Less than two days after she arrived, Scallop gave birth to four tiny kittens at the shelter. Despite everything she’d been through, she delivered them safely and has been a wonderful, attentive mom.

Once she was stable, Scallop underwent surgery to fully amputate her injured leg and was quickly reunited with her babies. Through all her trauma, she’s remained gentle, brave, and incredibly loving. This little family will soon move to a foster home where they can heal and grow together.

Wandering Rover is cancelled this weekend, Saturday, September 5th and Sunday, September 6th due to an adoption event!

We want as many of our dogs as possible to be at the shelter in hopes they will find new homes this weekend.

💙 Texaco (left, male) and Shell (right, female) are ready for new homes! 💙

These cuties are 2-month-old Cattle Dog/Staffy mixes that were part of a last litter program. They are wiggly, playful and all things puppy! If you're looking to add some fun to your household, consider a shelter pup. With some consistent routines, training and plenty of playtime and snuggles they'll grow into fantastic companions.
