The Everett Public Schools Foundation was proud to attend the Raising Hands event hosted annually by Tulalip Tribes Tulalip Cares. ❤️

The event honors recipient charities in different community impact categories. Since 1993, Tulalip has donated more than $136.1 million which encompasses hundreds of charitable organizations each year. This year, more than 400 organizations were recognized, including the EPSF!

We were honored to be invited and appreciates the ongoing community partnership with Tulalip Tribes Tulalip Cares.

We received this incredible thank you card from Jefferson Elementary! ❤️

Through a classroom grant, EPSF was able to help the school transform an area outside portables into a beautiful and calm space for students.

The Everett Public Schools Foundation received a generous $250,000 endowment donation in memory of Sue Hegeman (in photo: center), a devoted wife and mother who valued reading and lifelong learning. 📚

With family at the center of everything Sue did, she encouraged her sons to discover the joy and opportunities books can provide. This endowment creates a lasting tribute to her life and legacy.

We are deeply grateful that her sons chose to honor Sue in this meaningful way. Her impact lives on through her family, the values she instilled, and the opportunities this gift will help create for future generations. ❤️

Yesterday we received a $23,000 donation from the EverTrust Foundation to support early learning programs across Everett Public Schools! ❤️

Through programs like Transition to Kindergarten, Play & Learn, and Everett Ready, students and families are building the skills, confidence, and connections that help children enter school ready to learn and succeed.

As changes to state funding create uncertainty for early learning programs, community partnerships like EverTrust’s are more important than ever.

Today, we recognize Orange Shirt Day, a day to honor Indigenous children and families impacted by residential and boarding schools and to affirm that Every Child Matters. 🧡

We encourage our community to take time to learn, reflect, and remember as we work together to create schools where every student feels valued, respected, and a sense of belonging.

Our board retreat was a great success today! The theme of this year’s retreat was “anchored in community.” ⚓️

We reflected on our impact, brainstormed ideas for the year ahead, and discussed the needs of our students.

Thank you to our presenters, board members, and student representatives for taking the time to join us. We’re looking forward to another year of supporting our students and district!

The Everett Public Schools Foundation is offering Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Student Grants of up to $1,000 to support student-led projects that strengthen school communities, promote belonging, and celebrate differences.

📣 Student empowerment, leadership, and advocacy
Eligible projects should make a meaningful, positive impact on the broader school community. Grants are one-time awards and are not renewable.

The Everett Public Schools Foundation’s classroom grants help bring innovative, engaging, and transformative learning experiences to life. From field trips and hands-on activities to learning tools, fitness, music, and the arts, these grants help certificated staff create opportunities that inspire students and enhance learning.

📅 Applications open: Sept. 15
⏰ Applications due: Oct. 21 at 11:59 p.m.
🎉 Grants awarded: Mid-November
💰 Funds available: November through June 2027

Principal approval is required before submitting an application.
