Our very own Sparkle Safe team from North Posey High School represented our area well at the Junior Achievement Future Bound Social Innovation Challenge in Boston last week!

They had a site visit to Starbucks, learned valuable job-related information during workshops, talked to countless people they met while presenting at the expo, and presented their innovative business idea on stage in front of judges and a full auditorium of other teams who cheered them on! The students gained invaluable knowledge about entrepreneurship and presenting, learned the value in networking, and experienced a new city and made new friends and contacts.

Thank you to our partners who sponsored their trip: Pearison Inc., Nix Industrial, United Fidelity Bank, AstraZeneca, and CountryMark. We are sincerely grateful for your support and partnership.

We wish Hayden Farrar, Alivia Williams, and Julia Rice the best of luck in their future endeavors!

Please join us in cheering on the Sparkle Safe team from North Posey High School as they compete this week in Boston!

The Sparkle Safe team took a site visit to Starbucks and learned about Leadership, Project Management, Real Estate Decisions, Interviewing Skills, and took a walk around the block to look at the demographic landscape to understand why Starbucks chose that location.

Enjoy your trip, Sparkle Safe team! We can’t wait to hear more about what you learn!

One of our Social Innovation Challenge Regional Competition winning teams is advancing to the National Future Bound Competition, presented by Junior Achievement!

Please join us in cheering on the Sparkle Safe team from North Posey High School as they compete next week in Boston!

The Sparkle Safe team has dedicated months of research, development, and practicing their pitch to prepare for the national competition. The team created a jewelry brand designed for safety, to empower individuals with discreet, beautiful safety jewelry that provides protection, confidence, and peace of mind so they can move through the world boldy and without fear.

Good luck next week, Sparkle Safe Team! We are cheering you on from southwestern Indiana!

A summer job is more than a paycheck, it’s often a young person’s first step toward independence, confidence, and career readiness.

Through hands-on experiences, students learn how to communicate, problem-solve, manage responsibility, and navigate the workplace, skills that last far beyond the summer season.

At Junior Achievement, we’re helping prepare students for those opportunities and the future ahead.

The connection between education and economic opportunity is evolving. Today, preparing students for what’s next takes more than academic achievement alone.

Early access to financial literacy, career-connected learning, and entrepreneurial experiences helps students build the confidence and real-world skills needed to navigate their futures and thrive in a changing workforce.

Our latest blog explores how these experiences help bridge the gap between classroom learning and long-term economic success.

Wow, it has been quite an exciting day!

Our Junior Achievement team started our morning doing what we love most: supporting our community. We volunteered with Habitat for Humanity of Evansville to support their mission of bringing people together to build homes, communities and hope. 🏠

Then, we stopped by our construction site to see our Discovery Center construction in progress. As our vision comes to life, we are immensely grateful for our partners who are making this impactful project possible. We can't wait to serve students this Fall!

Lastly, but certainly not least, our team enjoyed lunch at Azzip Pizza. It is always a treat to dine at one of our favorite locally owned restaurants. 🍕

Now, our team is energized and ready to create more impact for our students!
