McGregor is a neutered male approximately four years of age. He’s long. He’s lean. He’s adorable. Every day he plots his escape on the cleaning carts. When he realizes he’s not allowed to leave, he just enjoys the ride. One day, his forever home will find him.

Some of our cats come with some pretty deep rooted fears. They’re in a new environment and it can really scary to them. Sometimes it just takes being quiet and a little chin scratch.

There’s a lot of misunderstanding about FIV‑positive cats, but the truth is simple: they can be amazing companions. FIV is not the same as feline leukemia, and it’s not a death sentence. Many FIV+ cats live well into their senior years with proper care.

They cannot infect humans, dogs, or other pets, and they can often live with other friendly cats after proper introductions. Keeping them indoors helps protect their immune system and prevents exposure to infections.

When you adopt an FIV+ cat, you’re giving a gentle, often misunderstood animal a chance to enjoy the safe, loving life they deserve.

This is Little Girl. She’s approximately 15 years old. Through no fault of her own, she found herself at the shelter. She’s a little shy and hesitant, but if you take a moment, she comes out of her shell and can’t get enough attention. Stopped by the shelter this week to visit her or any of our adoptable kitties.

Ponzu is a lovable 18 month old spayed female. She does have a little bit of a limp on her left rear leg, but it’s not anything that slows her down. She is looking for that forever home that will embrace her uniqueness and love her just the way she is!

This is Bunny! He is large and in charge. You’ll find him in our senior house. He’s got endless amounts of personality and it’s a little bit of an attention hog. He’s just looking to find his forever home.

This sweet young girl has been working her way back to health. She came to us very ill with a pyometra. (An infected uterus) She has been the best little patient getting her health back and getting ready to find her forever home.

FIV‑positive cats can live long, healthy, love‑filled lives — often just like any other cat. FIV mainly affects the immune system, but with regular vet checkups and a calm indoor lifestyle, many stay symptom‑free for years.

FIV doesn’t spread through grooming, sharing beds, or casual contact. It’s usually passed only through serious bite wounds, which means friendly, neutered indoor cats are very unlikely to transmit it.

These cats often get overlooked in shelters, but they’re affectionate, resilient, and incredibly grateful for a safe home. Adopting an FIV+ kitty means giving a wonderful cat the chance to thrive.
