Golden Triangle Kiwanis Club went to the dogs today. Ryna C. LaValle was our guest speaker. Ryna is the Founder / President of Caring Canines Therapy Dogs. This is a charitable organization that provides dogs to help people in need.

• Encourage withdrawn patients or older people to respond.
• Relieves loneliness and depression.
• Facilitates conversation and interaction.
• Stimulates minds, lifts spirits, and sparks memories.
• Calms hyperactive children.

Ryna shared a loving story about a dog that helped a person who had not spoken in years. The dog interacted with the person who responded by saying their first words in years… “Dog”.
