Week one of Camp Boggy Creek’s 30th year was a splash of a good time as kids coping with bereavement came through the gates to make friends and find joy.

It’s a brand new month. A brand new week. And can you believe our 30th summer at Camp Boggy Creek?!

30 summers of empowerment.
30 summers of belonging.
30 summers of helping children diagnosed with serious illnesses find a special place where they can just be a kid.

We are incredibly proud to have served more than 100,000 campers and family members, and look forward to an even more impactful summer this year, and the next 30 years.

providing medical volunteers, referring campers, and offering critical financial support.

Caring for children with serious illnesses takes a community of connections – we are grateful to Nemours Children’s Health for helping families like the Russell Family.

Care doesn’t stop at discharge, and our partnership helps children and family members fine the moments of joy, laughter and belonging.

We are absolutely thrilled to welcome Dr. Vanessa Carroll to our Board of Directors!

Dr. Carroll joins us with over 20 years of experience as a nationally respected pediatric physician executive. Currently serving as the Chief Medical Officer for AdventHealth for Children, she is a champion for clinical excellence, innovation, and—most importantly—whole-person, compassionate care.

From leading major children's hospitals to pioneering pediatric heart programs and virtual health services, Dr. Carroll’s expertise is matched only by her heart for service. She has dedicated her career to improving outcomes for children and families, and now, she’s bringing that passion to Camp.

It’s Volunteer Appreciation Month, and we’re celebrating the incredible team that leads them! Meet Allie Yesbeck, our Senior Volunteer Engagement Coordinator.

Allie began as a volunteer in 2019, followed by two years as a Green Pride Leader on Summer Staff. Since joining us year-round in 2023, she has dedicated herself to supporting the people who make Camp possible.

What is Allie's favorite area of Camp?
"I don’t think I have just one favorite area. What truly makes it such a magical place is the people. From our dedicated year-round and seasonal staff to our heroic medical volunteers and our passionate program volunteers—who I’ve had the greatest honor of working with—everyone gives so much. And of course, we have the best campers on Earth! I’m grateful for every single person I’ve crossed paths with here."
