Play is the way! *kids in the hive* is a DreamMaker project providing playspaces at local gatherings as well as interactive videos and creative resources for youth and families.

Their social-emotional learning helps to build resilient hearts and minds, one playful connection at a time.

Hidden Treasures
An art exhibition showcasing participants of the Eureka Cultural Arts District “You Found It!” Festival

On display now! Showing through June
Viewable from outdoors only, in Flatmo Alley & G St.

Peek around the corner of the Ink People’s new building at 535 5th St. & G St. in Eureka and find local gems of Humboldt County in our alley gallery… the Alle-ry if you will.

Weaving arts into our community also means envisioning unconventional spaces for creativity to be seen! We are excited for this to be one of multiple exhibition spaces in our new building.

Our office is still active at 627 3rd St. through the summer but the transformation of 535 5th St. is in process!

In order to get the word out about the “good work” of our nonprofits—and to help us learn about and support each other—NorCAN shares a featured article through our listserv every Thursday highlighting one nonprofit from our community!

🌟THIS WEEK: Hope Sack 🌟
"Hope Sack distributes tote bags of toiletries, hygiene kits, socks, and other essentials to locals in need of these most basic health supplies. Hope Sack often distributes from resource centers around the county. As of late 2024, we have distributed 1200+ Hope Sacks one by one, while speaking with people individually about their current needs and short-term goals."
