Several of you mentioned the other day that you didn't receive the text messages regarding the lockdown. During registration there was an option to opt-in or out for messages from the school/district, so it's possible you opted out. No worries, the first photo is how to opt in for messages going forward. The second picture is a text you will receive confirming your registration.

Trojan families, as you may have already seen, the Euless Police Department released a statement concerning yesterday's school situation. You may also read it below.

I would like to express my sincere thanks to the Euless Trinity High School administration, teachers, staff and SRO for their quick action in ensuring the safety of everyone on campus. Their number one priority is our students, always. There may be frustrations on how long it took for communications to go out, but I have no doubt they were more concerned about those at the school at the time. As a parent, I appreciate everything they did. They alerted everyone as soon as they could. There are procedures in place for this very thing, and while we may not know them or understand them, we can know that they are in place for the safety of everyone involved.

Also a sincere thanks to the quick response of the Euless Police Department and other SROs in the area. We appreciate you! ❤️🖤

⚠️ PRESS RELEASE ⚠️

On Friday, August 21, 2026, at 3:58 p.m., officers of the Euless Police Department responded to Trinity High School (500 N. Industrial Blvd) after reports of a possible weapon on campus were brought to the assigned School Resource Officer (SRO). The SRO immediately coordinated responding units, and school administration promptly initiated lockdown procedures.

Within minutes of the initial report, Euless Police officers detained three individuals. Additional personnel from the Criminal Investigation Division (CID) and neighboring SRO units assisted in securing the scene. A thorough investigation confirmed the threat was not credible, and no weapons were located on the property. The lockdown was subsequently lifted, and students and staff were safely dismissed for the day.

Three juveniles—none of whom are students at Trinity High School—were taken into custody. Potential charges remain pending, and their identities will not be released at this time.

Letter from Mr. Pugh emailed out:

To All Trinity High School Parents and Families:

Near dismissal, we texted parents to let you know that our school was in lockdown status, which ended safely a short time later. We’d like to give you additional information about today’s events.

This afternoon at about 4:00 PM, school staff received a report of a possible trespasser on campus. The Euless Police Department was immediately notified. In an abundance of caution, the school was placed in lockdown status until the situation could be investigated. Upon arrival, the Euless Police Department was able to determine that there was no credible threat and cleared Trinity High School to immediately end the lockdown status.

Although there is no indication that this was a credible threat, this type of situation can still be alarming for students. We will reassure any concerned students, and we encourage you to reassure your student, as well. If you feel your student may benefit from speaking with a school counselor, please reach out directly to our Counseling Office.

Thank you for your patience today. We witnessed the support of an entire team who stepped forward to ensure our students were safe.

To All Trinity High School Parents and Families:

Overnight, a water main leak has caused a partial water outage at Trinity High School. HEB ISD maintenance and local water utility crews immediately began investigation and repair work, and that work is continuing today.

Trinity High School currently plans to continue with a normal school day on Thursday, August 20, 2026. HEB ISD has already put plans in place to ensure our student and staff needs are met. Drinking water and portable restroom facilities are being delivered to the campus. Our Child Nutrition team is ensuring that cafeteria meals will be available for students. Additionally, some buildings on campus may have intermittent water service while repair work continues.

At this time, the reports we have received are optimistic that the water main can be repaired soon. If this situation changes, we will communicate with families as soon as possible.
