The VDMC was awarded a 2+ year Maternal Health Innovation grant from the Vermont Department of Health!

With this transformative support, we will:
✨Expand donor milk dispensing sites into areas where families have limited access
✨ Launch a community lactation clinic at our Essex location
✨ Offer drop-in hours so parents can get lactation and postpartum care right when they need it

We know that access to safe donor milk brings families through our doors—and we also hear every day how hard it can be to find timely lactation and postpartum support in our community.

We heard you. And we’re growing.

We’re thrilled to share that in October 2025, the VDMC was awarded a 2+ year Maternal Health Innovation grant from the Vermont Department of Health! 💙

With this transformative support, we will:
✨ Expand donor milk dispensing sites into areas where families have limited access
✨ Launch a community lactation clinic at our Essex location
✨ Offer drop-in hours so parents can get lactation and postpartum care right when they need it

This new clinic will ensure compassionate, judgment-free support during one of the most vulnerable times in a new parent’s and their baby’s life.
