We are so grateful to the Vermont Strikers 17U, out of The Strike Zone in Essex Junction for donating their time to paint our shed in Fairview Cemetery.

The Fairview Cemetery gate is open for the season. You may now drive in to visit gravesites. We ask that you come retrieve your holiday decorations as soon as possible, before we begin mowing!
And please, remember the following Rules and Regs which are in place so that the lots may be maintained safely and efficiently:
LOT PLANTINGS AND DECORATIONS
1. The Board of Trustees shall have the authority to remove all floral decorations, flags, shrubs, plants, or herbage of any kind, which, in the judgment of the Board, have become unsightly, dangerous, diseased, or detrimental, or which do not conform to the regulations outlined.
2. Existing shrubs are to be trimmed and debris deposited in places provided for that purpose. Shrubs should not be allowed to grow above, or higher than the monument, and if removed will not be replaced.
3. Artificial flowers and wreaths will be allowed only from October 1st to May 15th and will be removed after that date.
4. Owners of lots may plant flowers if they give them proper care.
5. No shrubs or trees shall be planted on an individual lot without the approval of the Board of Trustees.
6. Metal containers, baskets, or other receptacles placed above the ground as flower holders will be removed by the caretaker within three weeks if not taken previously by the owner. Glass containers of any kind are not allowed and shall be removed.
7. The placing of shells, toys, metal designs, ornament, chairs, settees and similar articles are not permitted, and, if placed on the lot, the Board of Trustees reserves the right to remove same.
8. Coat hangers or other wires attached to memorials, used as pot holders, or to support flowers or containers, will not be allowed.
9. The Board of Trustees shall not be liable for any floral arrangements, plants, receptacles, or other items placed on lots or graves that have become lost, stolen, misplaced or broken.
