Consecration of our nation to the Secret Heart of Jesus, by Father Raymond Phillips
Today, we observe Flag Day, commemorating the adoption of the Stars and Stripes in 1777. As Catholics and Americans, we fly our flag with gratitude for the freedoms we enjoy. Let us join in prayer this week for our nation, asking God to guide our leaders and protect our service members.

“Blessed is the nation whose God is the LORD.” (Psalm 33:12)

El domingo 14 de junio celebramos el Día de la Bandera, conmemorando la adopción de la bandera estadounidense en 1777. What God has done for you is meant to shape how you treat people today.

Jesus says the kingdom of heaven is at hand, and then He sends people out to live like it’s true.

That shows up in everyday life: showing patience when you’re frustrated, speaking life instead of criticism, checking in on someone who’s struggling, choosing generosity when it would be easier to hold back.

Inspired by the Sacred Heart of Jesus, we strive to show love, compassion, and kindness through the good we do each day.

"O most holy heart of Jesus, fountain of every blessing, I adore You, I love You, and with lively sorrow for my sins, I offer You this poor heart of mine. Make me humble, patient, pure and wholly obedient to Your will. Grant, good Jesus, that I may live in You and for You. Protect me in the midst of danger. Comfort me in my afflictions. Give me health of body, assistance in my temporal needs, Your blessing on all that I do, and the grace of a holy death. Amen."

On this beautiful celebration of the Solemnity of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, we give thanks for the loving witness of mothers everywhere. Mary's heart, full of faith, compassion, and unwavering love, serves as a model for all who nurture and care for others.
