Our canning educators are cooking up a special batch of goodies, and everyone will take home a freshly canned item! We’ll also have a no-bake cookie demonstration with samples to enjoy, of course!

Your $5 donation helps support the class. Come learn something new, enjoy some yummy treats, and take home a little goodness!

We were excited to welcome volunteers for our Climate Week event, but unfortunately, the extreme heat forced us to cancel. We’re disappointed we couldn’t share the day with you!

To everyone who signed up to volunteer, thank you! Please consider joining us another Thursday. We rescue and share food each week, and we’d love to have you be part of it.

Climate Week may be ending, but our work continues. Come help us keep good food out of landfills and share the abundance with our community! 🍎

A little reminder: MTA is closed today, Thursday, October 8, due to the heat. We’ll be back next Thursday, October 15!

Mother Nature has spoken…and apparently we’re taking another heat break! That means No Boxes This Week!

Due to the heat advisory, we’re canceling this week’s MTA distribution. We love saving food, but we also need to take care of the helping hands who make it all happen.

All orders will be moved to next week, when cooler weather is expected! You don’t need to do anything at this time. If you need to make changes to your order, please reach out.

We rely on volunteers to keep MTA running and every extra set of hands makes a difference. Whether you have an hour or a few, we’d love to have you join us!

We’re sitting this one out!

We’ve made the difficult decision to cancel distribution this week. The extreme heat throughout Southern California has significantly reduced the amount of rescuable food available, particularly produce and we were unable to collect enough food to provide the quality boxes our families expect.

In a way, this may be a blessing in disguise! We were already considering whether it would be safe to hold distribution in this heat. The well-being of our volunteers as well as the safe handling of the food we distribute is always a priority. Luckily it seems the decision was made for us and our hardworking volunteers will get a much-deserved break from the heat.

All current orders will automatically be forwarded to next week. No action is needed. Our ordering link will remain open, so be sure to get your order in for what we hope will be a fabulous box next week!
