Meet Dee Dee and Dexter — two gentle souls looking for one forever home.

Dee Dee and Dexter came to Clermont County Animal Shelter together, and it is clear they have been each other’s comfort through everything.

They arrived in rough condition, but with care, patience, and love, they are getting healthier and happier every day. And now, this sweet bonded pair is ready for the next chapter: a home where they can stay together, heal together, and be loved together.

Dee Dee is the sunshine girl.

She has the gentlest heart and the sweetest little grandma energy. Dee Dee loves soft toys, slow days, snuggles, and stretching out in the yard like sunbathing is her life’s purpose. She adores Dexter and is happiest when she can cuddle up beside him.

Dexter is the gentle old soul.

He is calm, easygoing, and quietly charming — the kind of dog who seems to live in his own peaceful little world. He loves scratches, gentle affection, and sniffing the breeze like every scent has a story to tell.

Together, they are tender, comforting, and full of love.

They are good with other dogs, know basic commands, and bring the kind of calm presence that makes a house feel warmer just by having them in it.

Dee Dee and Dexter are not asking for much.

A soft place to land.
A sunny spot to nap.
A yard to sniff.
People who will cherish them.
And most of all, a home where they can stay together.

After everything they have been through, these two deserve a forever family who sees what we see: two beautiful hearts, one incredible bond, and so much love still to give.

Meet Shaggy — professional goofball, adventure buddy, and full-time heart-stealer.

Shaggy is a 3-year-old boy with a big personality, a bouncy spirit, and the kind of face that looks at you like you are already his favorite person in the world.

This handsome guy is playful, silly, energetic, and always ready for the next fun thing. Chasing a ball? Yes. Going for a walk? Absolutely. Zooming around the yard like he just won the lottery? Also yes.

Shaggy would love a home where he can be the star of the show. He is looking for a single-dog home where he can soak up all the love, attention, and structure he deserves. He would do best with older kids who understand playful dogs and can help him keep practicing his manners.

He is fun. He is goofy. He is handsome. And he is so ready for someone to see him and say, “That’s my dog.”

Curly is a big, lovable goofball with an even bigger heart and absolutely zero understanding of personal space. In his mind, “large dog” is just a technicality. He is clearly a lap dog, a lean-on-you dog, a follow-you-around dog, and a “hello, I just met you, but I love you already” kind of dog.

Friendly doesn’t quite cover it. Curly greets people like long-lost best friends and makes it his personal mission to collect affection wherever he goes. Belly rubs? Yes. Pets? Obviously. Praise? He’ll take that too. A tiny spot beside you that he definitely does not fit into? Curly will try anyway.

He’s social, affectionate, silly, and deeply people-focused—the kind of dog who fills a room with his personality and then gently leans all of it right into your legs.

Curly is looking for someone who appreciates a big-hearted companion with a larger-than-life personality and a soft, snuggly center. He has been waiting, still hopeful, still charming everyone he meets, still ready to become someone’s best friend.

Kita is still available, and this 48-pound adventure cloud is wondering how her perfect person hasn’t spotted her yet.

At 4 years old, Kita is a Husky mix with a playful spirit, a curious mind, and the kind of joyful energy that makes life feel a little more alive. She’s ready for the next good thing—long walks, yard zoomies, games of fetch, trail sniffing, and any adventure where she gets to be right there with her people.

Josie is still available, and we think that means her perfect adventure buddy just hasn’t found her yet.

This bright, happy-hearted girl lives like every day came with a boarding pass. A walk? Yes. A trail? Absolutely. A car ride? She’s ready. A new smell, a new view, a new person to love? Josie is all in, tail wagging and heart wide open.

She’s playful, outgoing, curious, and wonderfully full of life—the kind of dog who makes ordinary days feel like vacation days. Josie would thrive with someone who wants to include her in the fun and give her healthy outlets for her enthusiasm.

She is still learning her basic manners, so she’ll need a patient adopter who can offer consistency, positive reinforcement, and structure. Think of her as a joyful work-in-progress with a whole lot of sparkle. With guidance and love, Josie has so much potential to become an incredible companion.

Zazu is still waiting, which is honestly a little hard to believe—because this big, goofy, windswept wonderdog is basically a comedy show in a fur coat.

At 3 years old, Zazu is a large husky mix with bright eyes, a playful spirit, and the charming energy of a dog who is still figuring out the instruction manual for “how to dog.” Sometimes he’s majestic. Sometimes he’s ridiculous. Usually, he’s both within the same five seconds.

Zazu loves to play, explore, move, and make life more entertaining. He’ll do best with someone who enjoys an active dog and can give him structure, patience, and consistent training as he keeps polishing his manners. He’s smart, eager, and full of potential—just a little rough around the edges in the most lovable way.

He also does well with female dogs and may enjoy a playful canine friend who can match his enthusiasm.

Zazu doesn’t need perfect. He needs someone who sees the magic in a goofy dog with a big heart, big feelings, and an even bigger zest for life.

Buddy and Honey are a bonded pair looking for an adopter. They are a bonded pair because hearts heal best when they get to stay beside the one who understands.

After losing their owner, these two sweet souls were left alone in a home without heat for months. They could have come out of that experience guarded. Instead, Buddy and Honey walked forward with soft eyes, hopeful smiles, and a whole lot of love still left to give.

Buddy, 7, is the big-hearted gentleman with the porch-light smile—the kind that makes you feel like you’ve been missed your whole life. Honey, 6, is tender and affectionate, leaning in for kisses and offering that quiet, steady sweetness that feels like home.

Together, they are gentle, people-loving, dog friendly, and good with kids. They’re past the puppy chaos and ready for the life they’ve always deserved: warm beds, couch cuddles, slow mornings, snack negotiations, and a family who sees that adopting two best friends means twice the love, twice the gratitude, and twice the joy.

They’ve already lost so much. Now they’re asking for one thing: to stay together, and to finally be safe.

Honey is exactly what her name promises: soft, sweet, and somehow still full of love after life asked her to be braver than she should have had to be.

After her owner passed away, Honey was left alone in a home without heat for months. But look at her now—leaning in for kisses, offering her paw, smiling with her whole face, and reminding everyone around her that a tender heart can survive hard things.

Buddy has the kind of smile that feels like a porch light left on just for you. Big, warm, hopeful—the sort of smile that says, “I’ve been waiting. I’m still ready.”

This 7-year-old sweetheart has been through more than any dog should. After losing his person, Buddy was left alone in a home without heat for months. And yet somehow, his heart stayed soft. He still greets the world with gentle eyes, a wagging tail, and that wide-open grin that makes you want to kneel down and promise him the rest of his life will be better.

Buddy is dog friendly, good with kids, and loves people with his whole chest. He’s past the puppy chaos and ready for the good stuff: a cozy couch, a warm bed, quiet companionship, snack negotiations, and someone who will never leave him wondering where love went.

He isn’t asking for grand adventures. He’s asking for belonging.
