We are proud to announce the appointment of Joe Cordonnier as our new High School/Junior High principal, effective July 1, 2026. Mr. C. takes over for Mrs. Pamela McQueen, who will transition full-time into her role as the academy's executive director after serving as principal for 30 years and holding both leadership positions simultaneously for the past nine years.
After a comprehensive nationwide search, the hiring committee found the ideal leader within our Villa community. Mr. C. brings 25 years of dedicated service to Villa as an educator, administrator, coach, and parent. He embodies our school’s Catholic, Benedictine values. Mrs. McQueen said, “Joe’s longstanding commitment to our students, families, and values makes him exceptionally well prepared to guide Villa into its next chapter. He treasures the relationships, traditions, and spirit that make Villa such a special place.”
Mr. C. earned Master of Education in Education Administration from Xavier University and a Master of Education in Secondary Education from Northern Kentucky University. He has served as Villa’s dean of academics and assistant principal for the past eight years. His commitment to Catholic education was recognized in 2019 when he received the prestigious Diocesan Excellence in Teaching Award. Mr. C. also served as the head coach of the Villa Vikings track and field team for 24 years, and he is the proud parent of two Villa alumni, Eli (’23) and Sophie (’25).
He said, "Villa Madonna has been my home for the past 25 years as a teacher, coach, and an assistant principal. My family grew here, my passion for Catholic education grew here, and my beloved Benedictine community is rooted here. It is a dream come true to have the opportunity to lead as the principal of this awe-inspiring academy."
We look forward to great things ahead!
