Glendale unit #20 in Glendale, Arizona, has purchased dozens of donuts and juice for more than 30 years for the hundreds of volunteers placing American flags on veterans’ graves at the National Memorial Cemetery prior to the Memorial Day commemoration. On May 23, ten members served donuts and juice to the public, and on Monday, May 25, the unit presented a wreath during the ceremony. The following day, they returned to pick up the flags and return them to storage for the next year. Great job, unit #20!

DAV applauds the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs for launching a new trial evaluating MDMA-assisted therapy for veterans living with PTSD and alcohol use disorder. Far too many veterans continue to struggle with the invisible wounds of war, often after exhausting traditional treatment options. Veterans deserve access to every safe, evidence-based tool that may help them heal, and this study represents an important step forward in better understanding the role psychedelics could play in veteran mental health care.
