Stray Animal Adoption Program (SAAP) is an all-volunteer, non-profit organization that exists to rescue, protect, and provide care for at risk pets.

We promote lifelong adoptions while focusing on spay/neuter and the education of animal welfare. This purpose of this page is to share pictures and information about our adoptable animals only. We’re thrilled to announce SAAP’s newest partnership with Fi Collars! 🎉

At SAAP, keeping our animals safe is always our top priority, and this partnership helps us do exactly that.

We already have an incredible Search & Rescue Team made up of dedicated volunteers who work tirelessly to bring lost pets home. They’re nothing short of amazing. These Fi collars take our efforts one step further by giving us another powerful tool to help locate dogs and cats quickly if they ever go missing.

Thanks to Fi’s generosity, our rescue dogs and cats will begin receiving Fi GPS collars as we roll out this program over the coming weeks and months. These collars provide real-time GPS tracking, activity monitoring, and valuable insights that help keep pets safe while they’re in foster care and after they’re adopted.

One of my favorite parts of this partnership is that the collar stays with the dog after adoption, giving adopters a free 6-month Fi membership. After the trial, adopters can choose whether to continue their membership directly through Fi.

As someone who’s personally used a Fi collar for over a year, I can honestly say I’m a huge fan. Beyond the GPS tracking, I’ve found the activity data incredibly helpful for understanding routines and even recognizing behavioral patterns.

I included a few screenshots from my own dogs’ Fi dashboard, along with a photo of one of them wearing their Fi collar, so you can see some of the information the app provides. It’s become a tool I rely on daily, and I’m excited that our fosters and adopters will soon be able to experience those same benefits.

Our goal is to eventually outfit every SAAP dog and cat with a Fi collar, giving our fosters, adopters, volunteers, and Search & Rescue Team another layer of confidence and peace of mind.

A huge thank you to Fi for believing in our mission and helping us keep rescue dogs and cats safer. We’re excited to grow this partnership and can’t wait to see the impact it has on the lives of the animals we serve.

Meet Zuke! This handsome boy has had a rough start to life, being thrown from a car and left to fend for himself. Luckily, this has led him to his SAAP foster. He is a 8 month old pit/lab mix who is full of happiness and love to give! He loves to play with other dogs, he is good with kids and already knows sit, shake and stay. He loves to play with toys, go on walks, carrides and snuggle.

After spending the last year being the ultimate supermom-raising not only her own litter but happily stepping in to help with a few extra babies too—Georgia has officially retired from motherhood. She's traded midnight feedings and kitten wrangling for a new dream: finding a family that's all hers.

This gorgeous dilute calico is about a year old and ready to soak up the love she's spent giving everyone else. Georgia would be happiest as the queen of her castle and prefers to be the only cat in the home. She doesn't mind dogs (they're easy enough to ignore), and she does well with respectful kids. These adorable 8 week old Australian Shepherd mixes are ready for their forever homes! They love to play with other dogs and are sweet and cuddly. They are doing a good job of using puppy pads. Baylor, Brynn and Bogie are deaf but doing great with learning hand signals. They are typical, happy puppies!

This handsome guy is a 4 year old, 44lb hound mix. He is good with other dogs, and would do best with another dog to help him build his confidence. He is very shy and timid at first, he is still learning that not all humans are scary. He is a sweetheart who needs some patience and time to warm up- but his endless, unwavering love is worth the wait!
