Final step! So excited!

The end of the beginning or the beginning of the end (of the painting)? Graphic artists and painters Kelly and Ty Tompkins with Neato Design Co and Paul Stone with Signs on a Dime began painting the gold numbers, letters, and doric striping on the museum's Frisco 1519 4-8-2 locomotive today. The photo is the first number painted on the back end of the tender and it looks marvelous! Once these two wonderfully talented companies finish their work, our 101-year old steamer will be ready to strut her stuff for many years to come. Special thanks to all those who have done the work, donated paint and supplies, and contributed almost $5,000.00 to date to make the museum's "star of the show" a beautiful sight to behold once again! We appreciate each and every one of you. THANK YOU! (The bright spot to the left of the number is the sun shining on that gorgeous new paint job.)😊🚂
