The community mourns the loss of John D. Groendyke, a figure of significant influence. His achievements include being named Enid Chamber Business Person of the Year in 1996 and receiving the Lifetime Achievement Award in 2022. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family, friends, colleagues, and the community during this difficult time.

Early Voting for the June 16 Election is underway.

With multiple races impacting Enid and Northwest Oklahoma, as well as State Question 832 on the ballot, now is a great time to make your voice heard.

More than 460 Garfield County voters cast their ballots on the first day of Early Voting.

Early Voting is available at the Garfield County Election Board, 903 Failing Drive, today until 6:00 p.m. and Saturday from 8:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m.

A list of candidates and issues appearing on the ballot is linked in the comments.

Thank you to everyone who joined us Tuesday evening for the Greater Enid Chamber of Commerce Annual Meeting & Banquet.

It was a special night as we celebrated the people, businesses, and organizations making a difference in our community and reflected on another year of progress in Enid. We also celebrated our outgoing board members and welcomed our new slate of officers!

The Enid Chamber Ambassadors hosted a Ribbon Cutting for the new home of Tri-County Family Resource Center, 119 S. Grand Friday, June 5th! The excitement of the kids and families was so much fun to see! Larger space to move and play with a fantastic central location! The center supports educational needs with tutoring services for those that may need a little extra help as well as addressing social and emotional needs. The center also works closely with parents to provide support and a connection to resources throughout the community.

As Oklahoma voters prepare to consider SQ 832, the Greater Enid Chamber Board of Directors has voted to oppose the measure as currently written.

We recognize that workforce recruitment, retention, and rising costs continue to shape wage discussions across Oklahoma and surrounding states. Our concern is the long-term structure of SQ 832 and the impact automatic inflation-based increases and eliminated exemptions could have on small businesses and regional communities like Enid.

We encourage members and community stakeholders to learn more, stay informed, and participate in the June 16 election.
