👉Another day, another innocent animal in need. Thankfully Dolly’s Cat Rescue and Sanctuary stepped up to help. But they need help so that they continue to help cats and kittens in need.

You pulled thru yesterday for Wh**ey, we are so thankful and today I’m asking if can you pull thru for Cyrus. The ways to donate for his care is listed in the original post. The vet they are using does not like donations to be made over the phone.

Hi,
I'm Cyrus. I am hurt. It's pretty bad. My dad asked Dolly's to take me and help me because he doesn't have a home, and I need help he can't give me. Dad loves me very much.
The doctor said that my cut is big, but doesn't think my bones are hurt. They have me on a bunch of medicine, I have to stay in the hospital, and they hope I will keep my leg.
I was wondering if anyone could help me with my vet bills? Mama Stacy told me not to worry, that God always provides. Maybe if all of Dolly's friends got together, y'all can be the help provided.

I want to say Thank You to Dr D Olson for taking Wh**ey in during an emergency situation. We appreciate the work you and your staff do. ❤️

Secondly, Thank you to the community who pulled thru and made a donation for his vet care. In just a few short hours we were able to raise enough money to pay his vet bill in full. I picked his owner up and took her to Olson’s this afternoon to pick Wh**ey up. He was happy to see her and actually from what I understand he is always a happy go lucky boy who just wants to give everyone some Love! He is a sweetheart and I am happy that I was able to meet this precious boy today. 💙

Third - We are always in this for the animals, that’s our priority and that’s what we will always do. It isn’t the animals fault for the cruelty, abuse and negligence that some have had to suffer. Just because someone thinks someone is a bad owner doesn’t mean the animal has to suffer.

Finally, this is what we were told when we were asked to help in this situation:

Friends were walking Wh**ey without a leash, his owner was in the house sleeping as she worked the night shift, Wh**ey ran up to someone on this walk (not in an aggressive way) and the man took a hatchet and hit Wh**ey in the face. A police report was made just today, that was one of the requirements before we assisted. We can’t continue to let people get away with this type of cruelty especially to an innocent animal. The owner wasn’t present during this attack and it requires the people that were present to make a report so that the assailant can be identified, hopefully arrested and charges be filed. The police have to have willing witnesses to do their part so people like this can face appropriate consequences without that nothing can be done.

Again thank you to all who donated, said a prayer and Dr Olson and staff for providing wonderful vet care. We appreciate your kindness and your support.

🚨Wh**ey and his momma desperately need our help. On September 30th he was hit on the side of the face with a hatchet. Causing trauma and an emergency visit to the vet. He is currently still at the vet until the bill can be paid. 🚨

🐾 Attached is a picture of the invoice as well as pictures of Wh**ey. Let’s get Wh**ey home so that he can heal faster and be in his own home with his mom. You know when your not feeling well home is the place to be! 🏠

Each day he stays it’s another $22.50, he needs out!!

The donations are in one place. We can’t keep track of donations if they are made directly to the vet and a lot of people say they will go make a donation and then don’t. Then when we go pay the bill it’s more than what we had expected because people Didn’t donate like they said they would. This is a legit post and I have done rescue for over 15 years not once has any money been raised as a scam. It’s quite disappointing that we work our butts off helping animals and then people questioning if this is legit or not

Secondly, we are working with the owner and hopefully charges will be made to the responsible party for the cruelty Wh**ey has suffered. As soon as I know more details about that, I will make an updated post.

STRAY HOLD
This older gentleman was picked up and brought in this morning from around 66th and 412. If he belongs to you please come out to 1200 S 10th with proof of rabies vaccination if he has one. If you know who he may belong to please let his people know he is here with us.

Athena and Roscoe are now ready for furever homes. They were dumped and a wonderful
Lady took them in. Furever Friends and Rudy’s Re-Tail have gotten them fully vetted and now they need a place to call home.

They are siblings and around 7 months old, they are fixed, Heartworm negative, current on vaccines, rabies and have been treated for fleas. They are house trained and stay in the yard. They are good with kids and other dogs. They are both really sweet dogs.

Athena did have a previous injury to her leg, but the vets at this time have determined nothing needs to be done at this time. She is in glucosamine and it seems to be helping her. We can discuss that in more detail if your interested.

We also could use some donations for their vetting. We only received $15 for their care and it cost us around $600 to get them vetted. Athena had to have X-rays done. If you could help with the care they received your donations would greatly be appreciated.

If you would like to meet one or both, please message us to set up an appointment. There will be an application and small adoption fee.

I’m trying to find a safe place for these puppies. They were found and they can not stay at the persons house that has been caring for them. They have tried to find them a safe place with no luck.
