A Call for Unity and Worker Right
While some companies employ a "divide and conquer" strategy, our approach is to demonstrate strength through unity. Elected officials, regardless of their party affiliation, have a duty to represent all constituents and uphold their rights, not trample on them for political gain.
Unions are dedicated to supporting workers by protecting their rights to job security, fair pay, and economic security for all. If employers genuinely treat their employees fairly, as they often claim, why do they fear unionization? The First and Fourteenth Amendments of the U.S. Constitution, along with the National Labor Relations Act (NLRA), guarantee the fundamental human right to freedom of association, a right also protected under international law.
We encourage you to contact your state representatives, congresspersons, and senators to remind them they were elected to serve all people, not just their political party. Their obligation is to uphold the U.S. Constitution and federal laws, including the NLRA, rather than adhering to party stances that may conflict with these laws.
The United States should lead the world with a forward-looking vision, improving lives for all and not regressing to the unjust conditions of 100 years ago due to corporate greed. A signed and ratified Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) is a binding commitment that both the company and the union, as well as those covered by the agreement, must honor. Honesty, integrity, and trust are the cornerstones of a strong and productive working relationship.
