Five dollar Friday! 🩷 dedicated to Maximus🐱

This past Sunday we took in a stray who was is bad shape and living on the streets. A Good Samaritan has been trying to trap him, and when she finally did, her husband brought him all the way to us here in Ely to have him cared for.

Monday he went to the vet for a signifcent eye laceration, wound care, and while he was under he was neutered. He is now on the road to recovery!

This week we’ll continue to care for his eye lid, but he seems to be feeling better and way less painful.

We have decided to put a couple of our long-term sanctuary cats up for adoption!!

We are excited to introduce Eggy and Roxy! These girls have been with us for the past 6 months, and we have been hesitant to adopt them out due to Eggy's medical needs and Roxy's fear of people.

HOWEVER, these girls are both fantastic cats and deserve the chance to find a forever home. Despite them seeming rather content with their lives at Contented Critters, we feel that they deserve the chance at finding a loving forever home.

Each cat will only be adopted out to those who agree to:
-Ensure that Eggy gets her monthly injection to manage her rodent ulcer (a sore ulcer on her top lip that is caused by allergies)
-Ensure that Roxy will be going to a home that has a minimum of one other cat who enjoys playing and snuggling. *she loves kittens!

*** We would LOVE if these two could be adopted into the same household. We realize this may not be feasible and thus they can go to separate homes, but they are great friends and would enjoy each other's company. ***

Duck Duck & Goose are now available for adoption!!! 🦆🪿

These two brothers are estimated to be 8-9 weeks old. They are sweet, playful, and both have polydactly feet, meaning they have extra toes!!

They are ready to go to their new home/s!

Feral cat in need of a new home!
This male cat has lived downtown Two Harbors for many years and his home and food source is being torn down next month.
We are looking for a garage/barn home for him where he can live out his days being independent. He has only ever let one person touch him-so he is considered feral.
He will be available on Thursday as he will be getting neutered/vaccinated that morning, and will need to go to his new home immediately after since he will be in a live trap.
There is no adoption fee for feral cats. All that we ask is that you provide him with shelter, food and water.
