Wednesday was another meaningful day at Volunteer Work Week for Northern Tier!

Volunteers, including Dick, Randy, and Craig, continued installing windows and doors, John did a great job painting the Voyageur canoes, and Tim and Alex patched a hole in the ceiling of the Baypost.

After a full day of work, volunteers enjoyed dinner with the brigade leaders and headed to John’s house for pie. Thank you, John and Jan, for hosting us!

Several volunteers headed home on Thursday, and we are grateful for the time, energy, and hard work they shared throughout the week. Thank you also to the wonderful staff at Northern Tier. We wish you a great summer season filled with adventures that last a lifetime.

Fortunately, a few more volunteers will arrive for the weekend, and the work will continue!

Tuesday was another productive day at Volunteer Work Week for Northern Tier!

We said goodbye to some of our volunteers as they headed home, and we are grateful for the time and effort they gave during their stay. John made great progress on painting the two Voyageur canoes. Crews also wrapped up installing LED bulbs for this year after using the available supply, with more bulbs planned for installation next year.

Volunteers also helped label inventory and fold T-shirts for the trading post, while painting continued in the Program Center.

Thank you to all of our volunteers for your hard work, flexibility, and dedication to Northern Tier!

Sunday was another productive day at Volunteer Work Week for Northern Tier!

Volunteers worked on installing windows and doors in the staff living units, stained cabins, installed a new sink at the Baypost, and moved the very heavy Voyageur canoe from the landing so it can be painted. Crews also started painting both Voyageur canoes and wrapped up installing LED bulbs upstairs in the Baypost.

Thank you to all of our volunteers for your hard work and dedication. Your efforts continue to make a lasting difference at Northern Tier!

This morning, volunteers at Northern Tier started the day by carrying the very heavy Voyageur canoe from the landing up the hill. Next, the crew will clean and prepare it for a fresh new layer of marine paint.

Thank you to everyone who helped with this big lift!
