Last month we sent off our Serve NYC Intern team from 2025-2026. These four young people poured hours of time and energy into our team, neighborhood, church, and beyond.

We saw them grow in confidence, empathy, and service as they did mundane tasks, took leadership, were team players, and learned from the people around them.

We bless them as they continue following Jesus and loving people wherever they are.

We were blessed to have them a part of our team for the last year.

Spring has sprung in the city and we're moving into week two of spring Long Term Orientation. We're blessed with 23 students and are excited to learn with them.

Pray with us for the students, teachers, and our staff team over the next 5 weeks.

We enjoyed hosting Countryside Christian School as our first World Outreach Weekend group this year. They spent time in classes, street outreach, and attended a Mosque to learn more about Islam.

The WOW program helps to give young people a broader glimpse at what God is doing in the world and how He wants to use His people to spread the Good News, locally and globally.

Last week our team enjoyed a few days at a cabin in Pennsylvania. We spent time planning for the upcoming year: brainstorming, discussing practical ways to apply our word of the year, and talking through team dynamics.

We also gathered wood to keep the fireplace burning, played many games in the evenings, and consumed lots of coffee.

We're so grateful to be working together, and we thoroughly enjoy the times we get to play together as well. It was a highlight for the whole team.

We're accepting applications for the 2026/2027 Serve NYC Internship term. For fourteen months, 2 young men and 2 young women have the opportunity to intern with the MTC team in NYC.

The internship is both preparation and purposeful service. Experience first-hand team life, discipleship, a cross-cultural church family, and countless ways to serve in our incredible, diverse city.

Scenes from fall LTO 2025:

1. Visiting a Buddhist temple
2. Studying at a nearby cafe
3. Storytime with children (because families are an important part of the group)
4. Lots of sunset watching
5. Hard work in the kitchen

And many more hours of study, outreach, prayer, classroom time, games, exploring, conversation, meals, and laughter.
