It is with great sadness that I share with our TRPNC Board of Directors and membership the passing of our friend and fellow TRPNC member, Jack Cress, owner of Mountain View Wrecker Service in Mountain City, Tennessee.
Jack was a longtime friend and supporter of TRPNC. Although his business was located just across the state line in Tennessee, Jack and his company performed a great deal of work here in North Carolina, and he chose to be a member of our association and continually supported TRPNC and our industry.
I had the privilege of getting to know Jack several years ago through our TRPNC Tow Shows, Spring Fling events, and other industry gatherings. Over the years, I came to know him not only as a fellow towing professional, but as a friend.
About a year ago, I had the opportunity to visit Jack at his shop in Mountain City. I will always remember the fellowship we shared that day and the genuine hospitality he showed me. That visit means even more to me today.
Jack dedicated many years of his life to the towing and recovery industry. He was also one of the founding members of the Tennessee Tow Truck Association and was a strong supporter of the towing industry on both sides of the state line.
On behalf of myself, our Board of Directors, and the entire Towing & Recovery Professionals of North Carolina membership, we extend our deepest condolences to Jack's family, his Mountain View Wrecker Service family, and all those who knew and loved him.
Please keep the Cress family in your thoughts and prayers during the difficult days ahead.
Funeral arrangements are incomplete at this time and will be shared with our membership as they become available.
Rest in peace, Jack. Thank you for your friendship, your support of TRPNC, and your many years of service to our industry. You will be greatly missed.
