2,475 ITEMS! Now THAT'S something to celebrate! ❤️

A huge THANK YOU to Badger High School DECA for organizing a food drive and collecting an incredible 2,475 items for The Bridge Food & Diaper Bank!

These young adults didn't just talk about making a difference. They rolled up their sleeves and did something about it.

Our future is looking pretty bright when we see young people stepping up, giving back and caring about their community.

To the students, advisors and everyone who helped make this happen:

🎃👻 No tricks, just bottles! We need your help! 🧡

We’ve got a little Halloween magic happening at The Bridge Food & Diaper Bank! We received a BIG donation of laundry detergent (yay!), and now we need to break it down into smaller bottles for our C.A.R.E. Bags.

That’s where you come in! 🧴

Before you toss those empty bottles in the recycling, would you consider donating them to The Bridge?

🧡 Here’s what we need:
👻 Clean, empty plastic bottles
🎃 Labels completely removed
🧴 About 16.9 ounces
🙌 Sturdy bottles with a wide base (think Vitamin Water bottles!)

So, if you have a stash of empty bottles hiding in your kitchen or recycling bin, give them a second life and help us out! No tricks required. 😉

🎄✨ Holiday helpers, needed! ✨🎄

If you’ve ever wondered, “Can I make a difference in a small, simple way?” — the answer is a big, jolly YES.

Right now, The Bridge is gathering ingredients for our holiday dinner distribution, and we’re on the hunt for two very important festive MVPs:

🥫 Canned yams — the cozy, sweet THanksgiving side that makes every holiday plate feel like home.
🍍 Sliced pineapples — because our Christmas hams deserve to be dressed to impress.

These little items add up to big joy for our guests — families who count on The Bridge to help make the holidays feel warm, delicious, and full of dignity.

If you’re able, drop off a can or two this week. It’s a small act with a huge ripple of kindness.

🥒 Cucumber Rescue Mission: SUCCESS! 🥒

Sometimes being “too big” is actually a very good thing! 😂

Apparently, these cucumbers were too big for Claussen pickles. (Is there such a thing as a cucumber that’s too big? Asking for a friend.)

One of our volunteers spotted a post from Hephzibah Farms saying they had gaylords (yep, HUGE boxes!) of cucumbers that Claussen refused because they were too big. Instead of letting all those cucumbers go to waste, Hephzibah Farms offered them up to anyone who could use them.

Our volunteer saw the post and thought, “The Bridge can use those!” So off they went to pick up a bunch—and now these giant cucumbers will be making their way home with our guests this week. 🥒💚

A BIG thank-you to Hephzibah Farms for sharing the harvest and helping us turn Claussen’s loss into our guests’ gain!

Who knew being too big could be such a big dill? 😉
