Faith in Action Edwardsville/Glen Carbon is a volunteer-based ecumenical organization. Donations of time and money are always welcomed.

Faith in Action Edwardsville/Glen Carbon provides assistance and support to individuals aged 60 years and older who live within the boundaries of the Edwardsville Community Unit School District 7. Our services for this demographic include:

-Running errands
-Shopping for groceries
-Giving rides to medical appointments
-Providing information about other services within the community
-Providing respite care/relief for family caregivers

In order to keep Faith in Action alive and growing, we need help from our community members. Faith in Action has a very flexible schedule for those interested in lending a helping hand to the elderly neighbors of the Edwardsville/Glen Carbon community. Faith in Action Edwardsville/Glen Carbon is raising funds to continue providing free transportation and supportive services to seniors aged 60 and older in our community.

Many of the older adults we serve have no immediate family nearby, as their children have moved to larger cities for work and other opportunities. For many, our volunteers and the community have become their extended family.

Several communities within our service area have little or no access to public transportation, making it difficult for seniors to reach medical appointments, grocery stores, pharmacies, the YMCA and other essential services. Without reliable transportation, these older adults face isolation and barriers to the care and resources they need.

Your support helps ensure that older adults can remain independent, connected, and living with dignity in the community they call home. Thank you for standing with us.

Join FIA tomorrow at the Healthy Seniors Day hosted by The Y, We will be handing out information about the program so please stop by to say hi!

Our Healthy Seniors Day is tomorrow, October 21st from 10am to Noon at the Niebur Center! This event is FREE for community members and will have over 60 local vendors with valuable information and giveaways! We can't wait to see our Active Older Adults there!

We had a lovely Sunday at the Annual Jack H. Enloe Memorial Golf Scramble hosted by First Christian Church of Edwardsville. Faith in Action was invited as one of the recipients of donations for the event. Some of our board members even came out to show their support. We are beyond grateful to First Christian Church and Pastor Spear for having us out for the event and for their continued support to our program.

Did you come see us at Unity Fest? We attended the event to support the community, but in turn, the community has further supported us. So many individuals stopped by to sign and decorate a card for a senior.
