🚨Breaking News: In a victory for transgender youth, their families, and their medical providers, a federal district court today issued a temporary restraining order blocking enforcement of a Trump administration executive order attempting to shut down access nationwide to gender-affirming medical care for transgender people under 19. The decision by Judge Brendan Hurson was issued from the bench with a written order to come soon.

The nationwide restraining order prohibits federal agencies from conditioning or withholding federal funding based on the fact that a healthcare entity or health professional provides gender-affirming medical care to a patient under nineteen. 🎉

Please consider adding your name as a volunteer to be part of a welcoming squad in safe states. We have families fleeing anti trans states, often in the dark of night with a u-haul, leaving behind loved ones, homes, schools, friends, pets, grandparents. It's a tough time. Many move to safe states and do not know a soul. This is an impactful way to volunteer without a huge commitment. A warm voice on the phone or email. Sharing local and regional info. Listening. A brief zoom training is involved. And TYEF is looking for someone to lead this effort which is a volunteer position but offers a stipend for your effort. If interested send cover letter and resume. If you are organized, focused, resourceful and want to make an impact for trans families on the move send us an email. Six month commitment.
