Curtain's Up Theater Company IL 501c(3) not-for-profit theater company dedicated to providing a variety of quality theatrical experiences to community members and performers of all ages.

We have found involvement in community theater to be a positive and rewarding experience. We hope to share that experience by providing performance and technical support opportunities to many in the community. We particularly wish to involve young people in the theater experience, as it is a wonderful way to nurture and celebrate artistic expression, as well as provide performance outlets for thei

r talents. There are many young people in our area who spend a great deal of time training and practicing their many skills – singing, dancing, musical instrumentation –and performance opportunities are often limited. One of the main reasons for the formation of our organization is to provide these hard-working children an opportunity to use the talents they have spent many hours developing. In addition to providing acting and technical opportunities for young people, CUTC will also involve those of all ages. Productions will feature both children and adults with an emphasis in providing to deliver this wonderful opportunity for people, and fascinating entertainment and theater experiences for our patrons.

We are so proud to share that friend and former/future director for CUTC, Diana Enloe, was honored with the Arts for Life BPA Lifetime Achievement Award this weekend. Diana's decades-long dedication to the arts has been a gift to our community and so many others. She is a talented and revered director, actor, dancer, teacher, lighting designer, costume designer, and friend. We are so lucky to have her on our team.

Keep an eye out for updates regarding Diana's next project with us, Thornton Wilder's Our Town, performing in November of 2026. Auditions to be announced soon.

Our heartfelt congratulations go out to Diana for her well deserved accolades, Debbie Maneke for her wonderful speech, and to all of our incredible nominees from Cinderella. You are all winners in our eyes!
