We know there are future leaders at East Side Elementary! Share this with a 3rd-5th grader you think would benefit from this program.

Could your child be a future leader?

Maybe they're the one who…

🙋‍♀️ Always has an idea
🗣️ Isn't afraid to speak up
🤝 Brings people together
💡 Loves solving problems
❤️ Looks out for others
🚀 Wants to try something new

Or maybe they're a little quieter and just need the confidence and encouragement to find their voice.

Either way, Young Leaders Lab was created for them.

Our first-ever four-session leadership experience gives 3rd–5th graders a chance to discover their strengths, build confidence, develop communication skills, and learn how to make a positive impact.

The next generation of leaders is already here.

Let's help them grow. 🌱

📅 September 10, 17, 24 & October 1
⏰ 6:00–7:30 p.m.

Last night, Board President SaraBeth attended the 35th anniversary open house for Johnson County Community Foundation. Our Education Foundation has been a recipient of start up funding and two grants because of the generosity of the foundation and donors. This funding allowed us to provide teachers with grants and new teachers with supplies to build their classrooms last year. JCCF also awarded scholarships to two outstanding students! Thanks for helping Johnson County thrive, JCCF! 🩵💚

Teachers and school leaders are invited to sign up for Aspire Johnson County annual teacher fieldtrips taking place on June 30th & July 14th to get a better understanding of the career paths offered in local government and legal/ public safety careers in the Johnson County region. Educators and school leaders that take part will receive a $25 Walmart gift card and a letter for 4.5 hours of PGP points (by request).
Quotes from educators that have attended in the past: ” It was a wonderful experience to not only learn about the different companies but to hear what they’re needing in their workforce.” “Confirmed the notion that some positions require degrees and some do not. Employers are willing to help associates attain further education/credentialing if underlying skills, aptitude, and attitude are there.” I felt that going to more than one field trip helped give greater perspective to the labor force in general. I hope you keep offering trips to multiple industries.”
