Dressed For School Porter County

Thank you Valpo Pop Warner families for bringing warmth to local students this fall. Go cheer on the Vikings this Sunday at VHS!!

🏈💚 KICK-OFF FOR KINDNESS! 💚📚

Valpo Pop Warner is teaming up with Dressed for School, an incredible local nonprofit, to help keep Porter County kids warm this fall!

We’re collecting BRAND NEW HOODIES for elementary students in need throughout Porter County — and we’re turning it into a little friendly VPW competition! 🙌

🧥 HOW IT WORKS:
• Collect NEW hoodies between now and Sunday, October 4
• Collections will be counted BY TEAM
• We’ll crown a FOOTBALL winner AND a CHEER winner
• The football and cheer teams that collect the most hoodies will each earn a PIZZA PARTY after practice next week — on the President! 🍕😎

Every hoodie makes a difference. Whether your team brings 5 or 50, together our VPW family can make a huge impact for kids right here in our own community. 💚

📍 HOME TEAMS: Bring your team’s bag of hoodies to the gate at VHS on Sunday, 10/4.

🚗 PLAYING AWAY? No problem! Email mailto: [email protected] to arrange a separate drop-off so your donations still count toward your team total.

Let’s show everyone what being a Viking is about — showing up for each other AND showing up for our community.

💚🖤🤍 KICK-OFF FOR KINDNESS!
🧥 WHO’S TAKING HOME THE PIZZA PARTY?! 🍕🏆

Welcome, Students! 🎉

We’re so excited to share that our new rooms are ready and our doors are open! We’re welcoming students who need a little extra support with their fall wardrobes into our store. 👕👖👟

The recent storms have been especially difficult for many of our most vulnerable families. We’re grateful to be able to step in, provide essential clothing, and help students feel confident, prepared, and ready to succeed in the classroom. 📚❤️

Because every student deserves to walk into school feeling ready for whatever the day brings.

💪 Oh what a group!! Grace Point brought a team of rockstars to serve at DFS last week and we had plenty for them to do. Cleaning, unpacking, hanging, sorting, disassembling, hauling & storing, there wasn’t a job they wouldn’t tackle. Thank you for your cheerful service! We couldn’t get ready for students this fall without your help. 🙌

What a night! 💫 Thursday night, Runway to Confidence united local heroes: boutiques owners, models, volunteers, donors, and supporters who believe every student deserves to shine with confidence. Thank you for being the spark that made this night unforgettable! ✨

OSL teams around Northwest Indiana came together to collect school supplies 🎒 and funds 💵 for students! Dressed For School was chosen as a recipient to support clothing and shoe needs.

🚜 Here we are in the parking lot, rooting on the construction crews who are racing to get VALE school ready for students next week!

Thank you, OSL, for recognizing needs that often go overlooked.

When a local corporation like Holladay Properties, Portage steps up to host a clothing donation drive, it’s more than just a collection—it’s a commitment to community care. These efforts help ensure students have access to essentials and remind us what’s possible when businesses invest in the people around them. Small acts, big impact. 💙
