Sherman Steering Committee Eau Claire Sherman Steering Committee is a non-profit 501(c)3 parent teacher organization for Sherman Elementary. Join the fun! However, we cannot do this alone!

This committee is very similar to your common PTA/PTO Groups. SSC Board Members 2022-2023

Our ultimate goal is to help the students in any way we can. Throughout the school year we raise money w

hich is used to fund school programs including field trips, the Spooktacular Festival, 5th Grade Picnic, Year End Celebration, Kindergarten Orientation and other various events. The SSC is made up of parents and staff members who are passionate about making your child(ren)’s experience at Sherman Elementary the best it can be. We have a meeting once a month and anyone and everyone is encouraged to join! If you aren’t able to make it to our meetings, we do have many volunteer opportunities throughout the year that couldn’t be a success without parent support! Be sure to look for opportunities listed in our newsletters, email blasts or online for your chance to help out!

🎉 The playground is open! 🎉

We're excited to share that construction on the main portion of Sherman Elementary's new playground is complete, and it's officially open for students to enjoy!

This project wouldn't have been possible without the incredible support of our Sherman families, staff, donors, and community. Thank you for helping bring this vision to life.

A few finishing touches are still on the way: Poured-in-place rubber surfacing beneath the existing accessible swings is scheduled for installation in October. 🪑 A donor recognition bench will also be installed in the coming weeks.

We can't wait to see our students making memories on the new playground this year! 💙💛

Volunteers Needed!!!!! 🍕

Hello, Sherman families!

We’re excited to share that our final fundraiser of the school year is coming up, and we’d love your help to make it a success!

🍕 Pizza Ranch Fundraiser Night
Date: May 28
Time: 4-8pm
Location: Pizza Ranch

During this event, 10% of all dine-in, takeout, and delivery sales, plus cash tips, will be donated to the Sherman Steering Committee (SSC) to support our playground fundraising efforts.

To help things run smoothly, we’re looking for 5–7 adult volunteers to assist with:
Bussing tables
Greeting and chatting with guests
Helping create a welcoming, community-focused atmosphere :)
Even volunteering for part of the time makes a big difference!
