United Way Greater Chippewa Valley is a nonprofit organization focused on improving lives and strengthening communities in the Chippewa Valley region of Wisconsin. United Way is working to advance the common good by focusing on successful children & youth, strong families & individuals, and total health and well-being. These are the building blocks for a good life--a quality education that leads t
o stable job, enough income to support a family through retirement, and good health. We will make an impact on complex problems- reducing need and increasing quality of life. In the community and with one another we are united by being responsible, collaborative, trustworthy, and solutions-oriented. While we work to address the root causes of important community issues, United Way realizes that there are individuals in our region who need our support right now. That’s why we work to provide basic needs of food, shelter, health, and safety. When individuals are unable to meet their immediate needs, it becomes more difficult to focus on long-term goals such as employment, housing, or education. Diversity and inclusion are at the heart of what UNITED IS THE WAY means and are fundamental to achieving our mission and impacting our community goals in health, education, and financial stability. At United Way of the Greater Chippewa Valley, we believe that diversity of thought as well as cultural diversity of staff and volunteers strengthens our ability to achieve our mission, vision, and values. As an organization, we continually strive to reflect the diversity of our community in the composition of our Board of Directors, committees, and staff.
