Take a half-mile train ride on the CVRR through the scenic woods of Carson Park in Eau Claire, WI. Tickets - Children $2, Adults $3.

Open noon to 5pm, Sundays and Holidays, Memorial Day to Labor Day, including the 4th of July. We have two Steam Locomotives and one Diesel Locomotive to power either the late-1800’s mixed train (yellow train) or the 1950’s streamliner (red train). Trains run from 12-5 pm on Sunday’s and Holidays from Memorial Day to Labor Day (this includes the Fourth of July, but DOES NOT include the Sunday of Memorial Day weekend). Tickets are available onsite and cost $3/Adult (13+), $2/child (3-12), and FREE for 2 and under. We are currently able to accept cash, check, or Venmo.

Thank you to the Eleva-Strum Railroad Club for taking a ride on the Halloween Train this past weekend to support Feed My People Food Bank! It’s always exciting to see the enthusiasm that the next generation has to learn about railroad history while also supporting our local community!

In case you missed it, our Secretary, Maddy Doney, took the WEAU morning team on a spookily fun adventure at Carson Park! We can’t wait to see everyone come out to ride the Halloween Train tomorrow, Saturday, October 24, from 11am to 4pm! Don’t forget your costume! Kids in costume get 1 free ride! Tickets are $3 per person and/or a non-perishable food donation. All proceeds go to Feed My People Food Bank!

You can take a ride this weekend to get into the Halloween spirit, all while supporting those in need. The Chippewa Valley Railroad is hosting their annual Halloween Train ride this Saturday at Carson Park.

Come join us this weekend at the YMCA Indoor Sports Center in Eau Claire for the West Wisconsin Railroad Club’s annual Train Show!

We will be here today (Sat, Oct 10) from 10am to 5pm and tomorrow (Sun, Oct 11) from 10am to 3pm.

Adults (17 & up) are $8.00.
Adults (17 & up) with a nonperishable food donation are $7.00.
Students (ages 6-16) are $3.00.
Children 5 and Under are FREE.

No. 19 passed its annual Hydo test September 11, 2026. Present, left to right, Mario, boiler inspector, Joe Satnik and Bob Brunner, CVRR members. Dave Peterson, photo. No. 19 was built in the early 1920's in Kenosha, Wisconsin. In 1978, Norman Sandley built a new boiler for the CVRR.
