Hello Lakeshore Families,

I hope you are having a wonderful summer and looking forward to the start of another amazing school year at Lakeshore! 🌊

Please mark your calendar! Welcome Back Day is right around the corner - Tuesday, September 1 - 8:00AM-4:00PM ​(closed from 1:00-2:00).

This open-house style day is designed for families to come to visit Lakeshore, meet our staff, drop off school supplies, fill out paperwork, and meet your student's teacher for the year. All students are expected to come to school with their families. As a reminder, this day is considered the first day of school, so attendance will be taken.

What a fun way to kick off the school year!

Earlier on Thursday, around 60 teachers and staff members drove through neighborhoods in a school bus, waving pom poms and holding signs to share their excitement for the new school year.

Today is the day!!!
Come help spruce up Lakeshore Elementary! Times are scheduled from 9-11 am or 3-5 pm and you can come to whichever works better for you!
It is recommended to bring a refillable water bottle 💦 with your name on it and any tools you think you may need for some yard/garden clean up 👩🏽‍🌾👨🏾‍🌾 around the school.🏡

🌊 Waves, it's almost time to go back to the classroom. But first Lakeshore is looking for help to spruce up its grounds. Come if you can, we'd love to see you!

Tuesday, August 18 is Lakeshore Beautification Day!

Families are invited to join us at Lakeshore Elementary to help spruce up our school grounds. Stop by during either of these volunteer sessions:
🕘 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM
🕒 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM

Families are invited to help us trim trees and bushes, clean flower bed, pull w**ds, spread mulch, and general outdoor beautification.

Please bring any helpful tools you may have, such as w**d eaters, brush trimmers, leaf blowers, rakes, shovels, and wheelbarrows to make this easy work. Many hands make light work!

🍧 PTO will be providing popsicles for volunteers.

Thank you for helping keep Lakeshore beautiful. We hope to see you there! 💙🌿

We want to thank our Lakeshore families for two very successful Culver's nights. With your help the PTO raised just over $2,000. Also, Culver's on Brackett has once again generously donated 400 scoops of custard 🍨to help our Waves celebrate their last day.

Our May meeting is tomorrow! Tuesday, May 12th at 6:30 pm in the library. We have some BIG things for the end of the school year.... we will be voting on the PTO board positions, discussing the Rainbow Run this week (Thursday), and various other items on the agenda.

Wednesday: "Stock up day" ✏️☕📒k-pods, expo markers and other requested items provided by the PTO
