The Silver Beaver Award is one of the highest honors a local council can bestow upon a volunteer. It recognizes individuals who have given exceptional service to Scouting at the council level—going above and beyond to positively impact youth, leaders, and the Scouting movement.
This year, we are proud to honor Curtis Abbott, an Eagle Scout with over 31 years of adult leadership and a lifetime of dedication to Scouting. Curtis currently serves as Advancement Chair for Troop 1 Conimicut and Chair of the Narragansett Council Jewish Committee on Scouting and has held numerous leadership roles throughout his Scouting journey. His commitment to youth development and living the Scout Oath and Law exemplifies the spirit of Scouting.
