When he was born in July of 1995 we knew he was special and was going to do good things. Even at a young age he was always giving up his seat, sharing his lunch with friends who had none, helping animals, even making small crafts for his family and friends so they would always have a little something to make them smile. His kindergarten teacher once told his family she was going to discipline him
for something and when he turned and they made eye contact she melted. In 2004, Zachary was diagnosed with Hepatoblastoma, a liver cancer when he was 8 years old. Given only a month to live by doctors, Zachary fought hard, but lost his battle in 2006 due to chemo related complications. After Zachary's courageous fight his family wondered how they could keep his memory alive and continue to do what he loved most... helping others! The Friends of Zachary Dauphinne was created and they hit the road running. We are in our 15th year of providing scholarships for people of all ages to pursue their dreams. Even during the pandemic we helped. Just most rest of the world we had to get creative. During 2020, we bought groceries for families affected by the pandemic. We also helped several families that where victims of house fires and played secret Santa to 10 families so that every child would get what they asked for. We have two main fundraisers we currently do. A fun night at The Comedy Connection and our organics Raspberry Jam! Stay tuned for more details! Due to Zachary's multiple hospitalizations, Maria, his mom and Marc, his dad hadn't worked and had mounting medical bills even with health insurance. After years of emotional, mental and financial recovery Maria was diagnosed with Glioblastoma (a brain cancer) in 2014, she battled valiantly because she did not want to leave her other children. In 2016 Maria lost her battle. Maria and Marc where high school sweethearts who where married almost 30 years. These two illness's have financially destroyed their family and now their home is under threat of foreclosure. Marc is now unable to work due to being diagnosed with Muscular Dystrophy in 2018 and severe P.T.S.D. and is asking for your help. Here on this page you will see a link to a GoFundMe for Marc to help pay down some of Maria's medical bills so he can keep his home and pay off the rest.
