🎃🖤 THE FINAL HAUNT 🖤🎃
Tonight, the screams fell silent for the final time.
After years of spooks, scares, laughter and unforgettable Halloween nights, Slaughter on Stoddard has officially closed its doors.
As we share this video from their final haunt, we can’t help but think about everything that happened beyond the scares.
Year after year, Leo Calonico and his incredible crew turned their love of Halloween into something much bigger — a way to help their community.
There was no ordinary price of admission. Instead, visitors were asked to bring non-perishable food for the East Haven Food Pantry.
And when Halloween was over and the monsters disappeared, something pretty amazing would happen…
The truckloads of food would arrive. ❤️
Those donations helped us fill our shelves and, most importantly, helped us take care of our neighbors.
Their message throughout the years couldn’t have been more fitting:
👻 “The only scary monsters are the ones who don’t help their community.” 👻
Leo and the entire Slaughter on Stoddard family — we hope you know just how much what you’ve done has meant to us.
You gave this community years of memories. You frightened more than a few of us. 😉 And behind every scream was an extraordinary amount of generosity, hard work and heart.
So as we watch the doors close on Slaughter on Stoddard one last time, there is really only one thing left for us to say:
Thank you.
For every scare.
Every laugh.
Every donation.
Every truckload of food.
And every year you chose to give back to your community.
From all of us at the East Haven Food Pantry, we are eternally grateful. 🖤
The monsters have gone home.
The lights have gone dark.
The final scream has been heard.
But the good you’ve done for this community will live on.
🎃👻 The haunting ends. The legacy lives on. 👻🎃
