As we close out another school year, we're celebrating the impact of our Empowered Ambition Youth Development (EAYD) program.
This spring, an external assessment found that EAYD provides young men with a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where they feel supported, connected, and encouraged to participate. The assessment highlighted strong relationships between staff and students, meaningful collaboration among peers, and learning experiences that keep young people actively engaged.
For us, this matters because belonging comes before achievement.
When young men feel seen, respected, and valued, they are more willing to participate, take risks, build relationships, and grow as leaders.
EAYD was designed to help boys and young men of color develop social-emotional skills, strengthen their identity, build healthy relationships, and make decisions that support their future. This year's assessment reminds us that creating the right environment is an important part of that work.
Thank you to our students, families, school partners, and staff who continue to make this possible.
