🩸 Today is the day! ❤️

Health with Heather and the Sims-Fayola Foundation are proud to support today’s community blood drive in partnership with Children’s Hospital Colorado.

This is an opportunity for our community to come together and make a real impact. A single donation can help provide critical support to children right here in Colorado, and every donor plays a part in strengthening our community.

As we close out another school year, we're celebrating the impact of our Empowered Ambition Youth Development (EAYD) program.

This spring, an external assessment found that EAYD provides young men with a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment where they feel supported, connected, and encouraged to participate. The assessment highlighted strong relationships between staff and students, meaningful collaboration among peers, and learning experiences that keep young people actively engaged.

For us, this matters because belonging comes before achievement.

When young men feel seen, respected, and valued, they are more willing to participate, take risks, build relationships, and grow as leaders.

EAYD was designed to help boys and young men of color develop social-emotional skills, strengthen their identity, build healthy relationships, and make decisions that support their future. This year's assessment reminds us that creating the right environment is an important part of that work.

Thank you to our students, families, school partners, and staff who continue to make this possible.

🩸 Community takes care of community.

That’s why we’re inviting our neighbors, families, churches, organizations, and friends to come together for a community blood drive benefiting Children’s Hospital Colorado.

A single blood donation can help save or enhance up to five children’s lives, and every donation stays local to help patients right here in our community.

When we show up for one another, we create hope. We create healing. We create impact.

Join Health with Heather, My Brother’s Keeper Denver, and the Sims-Fayola Foundation as we work together to support children and families who need us most.

We're evolving how we create lasting change.

The Sims-Fayola Foundation has spent over a decade building programs that transform lives. And we're proud of that work. But we've learned something important: real, lasting change for boys and young men of color comes from changing systems, not just running programs.

That's why we're making a strategic shift.

We're becoming a systems-influence organization focused on:

Policy and advocacy that shapes the conditions where young men thrive
Leadership development pipelines that build the next generation of systems thinkers
Strategic partnerships that amplify our reach and impact

Selective direct service that proves what's possible and teaches us what systems need to change

This isn't about doing less. It's about being smarter, more strategic, and more focused on the systemic barriers that hold young men back.

Vision 2030 guides everything we do. It's our roadmap toward a Denver metro where boys and young men of color experience belonging, opportunity, and predictable pathways to success.

The work continues. The model evolves. Our commitment deepens.

If you're a partner, funder, educator, or systems leader interested in this work, we'd love to talk.

🩸 Somebody’s child is waiting on a donor like you. ❤️

Health with Heather and the Sims-Fayola Foundation are honored to support a community blood drive in partnership with Children’s Hospital Colorado because one single donation has the power to help save or enhance up to FIVE children’s lives.

For many families, blood donations are not just important… they are urgent. Some children depend on transfusions to keep fighting, keep healing, and simply keep living. Your donation could provide comfort during someone’s hardest moment and remind a family that their community is standing beside them.

Every donation stays local and helps children right here in our community who need it most. This is more than giving blood. This is giving hope. Giving strength. Giving healing. Giving a child another chance.

Four years ago, Coach E had a vision bigger than where he was standing.
Today, he’s traveling the world, creating music, mentoring young men and boys of color, and continuing to pour back into the same community that helped shape him. 💜✈️🎤

Stories like this don’t happen by accident.
They happen when young people are given support, guidance, opportunities, and people who believe in them before the world fully sees their potential.

At Sims-Fayola Foundation, we are committed to helping build more stories like Coach E’s. More leaders. More mentors. More dreamers who grow into changemakers.

Your support helps us continue investing into youth, families, and communities through mentorship, leadership development, education, and opportunity.

If you believe in creating more outcomes like this, we invite you to donate and learn more about our mission at sffoundation.org 💜

The mission continues. 🌍🫶🏽
