Team Up AmeriCorps is looking for local nonprofits, schools, and government agencies interested in hosting AmeriCorps members for the 2026-2027 program year. AmeriCorps members serve directly with Host Sites to support programs and projects that help people thrive across southwest Colorado. Potential term options include fall, winter, and summer starts. Organizations like 4CORE, Montezuma School to Farm Project, and the SOIL Lab, are already utilizing AmeriCorps service to support meaningful projects in our region.

Nice try, Big V**e.

Calling a menthol v**e "clear" doesn't make it unflavored; it makes it a loophole. New research shows these products use words like "refreshing" and "cooling" to sell the exact flavor experience they claim not to have.
Why it matters: 90%+ of young people who v**e use flavored products. Marketing tricks like this are designed to keep them coming back while skirting flavor restrictions.

"Clear" doesn't mean flavor-free. 🚨
E-cig companies are labeling products "clear" to dodge flavor bans, but the ad language tells a different story with words like menthol, refreshing, smooth flavor, and classic taste. Over half of clear-labeled products studied used targeting flavor language, and many were found to contain flavoring agents like WS-23 and WS-3 (which are used in many flavored products already).
Sales of these products jumped from $34K to over $1M in just a few years. It's clearly a loophole that's working for companies, but not for our health.
Flavors target youth and young adults at alarming rates. Simply renaming them doesn't change that. 🧵

Did you know how many youth in Colorado reported using flavored ni****ne? More than you might think. According to recent data from the State of Colorado, 83% of youth who reported using ni****ne pouches said they used flavored products and of the youth surveyed who v**ed, 92% said they also used flavored products.
Flavored ni****ne can make these products easier to use and even harder to quit but it shouldn’t have to be! Learn more and find free resources:
