Every church is different, and mentor training should reflect that.

This spring, we had the privilege of training mentors at Passion City Church as they prepared to invest in the next generation of men. Whether through a self-paced course, a live virtual session, or an in-person training like this one, our goal is to equip mentors with the confidence and tools they need to lead well.

We're always encouraged when churches invite us into conversations about discipleship and leadership development.

Earlier this year, NewSpring Church invited Pete to speak at their All Staff gathering, where staff from every campus across the state came together for training, celebration, and connection. He shared about the unique opportunity the Church has in this moment to intentionally invest in people through mentoring and discipleship.

Our team also spent time with NewSpring's discipleship pastors, mentors, and lay leaders, listening to their stories, sharing best practices, and exploring how we can continue walking alongside them.

Thank you, NewSpring, for your partnership and your commitment to developing healthy leaders who make disciples.

Five years. Hundreds of men. Countless stories of God's faithfulness.

Recently, we had the privilege of celebrating five years of Radical Mentoring at The Hills Church in Fort Worth, Texas. More than 125 mentors, mentees, pastors, and church leaders gathered for an evening of worship, great food, and stories of lives changed through mentoring.

One of the highlights was hearing a panel of former mentees share how God has used mentoring relationships to shape their faith, leadership, and families. The next morning, we continued the conversation over breakfast with the church's mentors and pastors, celebrating what God has done and looking ahead to what's next.

Moments like these remind us that the impact of mentoring continues long after a group comes to an end.

Tomorrow's leaders are being formed in today's mentoring relationships.

If you're hoping to see men leading with greater spiritual maturity in the years ahead, the work starts now. Fall is a great time to launch a mentoring ministry that equips men to grow in their faith and invest in others.

The future leadership of your church won't happen by accident. It begins with intentional discipleship today.

What happens when a church stops trying to build a mentoring ministry alone?

Five years ago, The Hills Church launched four pilot mentoring groups with Radical Mentoring. Today, more than 250 men have experienced intentional, life-on-life discipleship, and they're continuing to see consistent spiritual fruit.

Their story is a reminder that healthy mentoring doesn't begin with perfect circumstances. It begins with faithful leaders who are willing to invest in others.

You want a strong small group ministry, but building one from scratch can feel overwhelming.

Creating curriculum, finding leaders, and keeping groups consistent takes time and structure. It is not just about gathering people. It is about helping them grow.

Radical Mentoring provides a clear, proven framework developed over 15 years. From mentor training to monthly rhythms and the final retreat, the path is already laid out.

It is a simple, intentional way to build something that lasts.

Ready to move toward a more consistent and impactful group experience?

Isolation is one of the enemy’s most effective tools.

It convinces us to stay quiet. To keep our struggles hidden. To believe that if we are honest about where we are, we will lose respect.

But in a Radical Mentoring group, the opposite is true. Vulnerability is not a weakness. It is the starting point for real connection.

When a mentor is willing to go first, to share honestly, to admit where he has struggled and grown, it changes the room. It creates a culture where others feel safe to do the same.

That is where real community begins. Not in surface-level conversations, but in honesty, trust, and the freedom to be known.

When men step out of isolation and into that kind of environment, growth follows.

What once felt like something to hide becomes something God uses to shape others.

That is the power of being known.

In a world built around drop-in events and low-commitment gatherings, Radical Mentoring is designed differently.

It is a structured, ten-month commitment where a small group of men meets consistently with the same leader and group. This consistency creates an environment where trust can develop over time, not just in a single conversation.

Each month includes guided discussions, personal reflection, and shared accountability. The goal is not just to attend, but to actively engage, be known, and grow alongside other men who are pursuing the same things.

This model works because transformation takes repetition, honesty, and time. Sporadic connection rarely leads to lasting change. Consistent relationships do.

Over ten months, men build trust, address real-life challenges, and grow in their roles as leaders, husbands, fathers, and followers of Christ.

Ready to move past surface-level connection and commit to real growth?

We hear these excuses all the time.

But over 31,000 men have stepped in anyway and seen the impact it makes.

Mentoring is not about being perfect. It is not about having every answer or a flawless story. It is about being present, being intentional, and being willing to invest in someone else.

The truth is, someone does not need a perfect mentor.
They need a man who is willing to show up, be honest, and point them in the right direction.

Stop waiting for the “right time.”
Start becoming the man someone else needs.

Most men have “like-minded” friends. Guys who share the same interests, watch the same teams, or work in similar spaces.

But do you have “like-hearted” friends?

These are the men who challenge you to grow. The ones who ask the hard questions, speak truth when it is needed, and walk with you as you pursue being a better husband, father, and follower of Jesus.

They are not just there for the easy moments. They show up in the hard ones too.

These kinds of relationships do not happen by accident. They are built through intentionality, honesty, and a shared desire to grow.

If you have a man like that in your life, do not take it for granted.

Tag a brother who has been a “like-hearted” friend to you lately. Let’s give credit where it’s due.
