What kind of legacy does a mentor leave behind?

At John Richie’s memorial service, nearly 200 men stood to their feet—men whose lives he had invested in over the years.

Different stories. Different seasons. All connected by one man’s faithfulness.

John helped shape Radical Mentoring in its early days, but his greatest impact wasn’t what he built. It was who he invested in.

And today, that impact continues.

Some mentoring groups drift apart when the year ends. Others are still meeting years later.

In one of our last Mentor Huddles, we talked about why.

Often, it comes down to ownership. When mentors begin shifting the focus toward one another instead of keeping everything centered on themselves, shared responsibility builds lasting community.

The goal isn’t just to complete the year. It’s to build relationships that endure. 🔥

Mentors, has your group continued beyond the formal year?

Mentoring isn’t about producing quick results.
It’s about faithfulness.

You show up.
You invest.
You walk with someone over time.

And God does what only He can do.
He brings the growth. 🌱

What does faithfulness look like in your mentoring journey right now?

Strong mentoring is built on a solid foundation. 📖

In Radical Mentoring, Scripture is not supplemental. It is central.

Each month, mentors and mentees memorize God’s Word, discuss it together, and apply it through intentional assignments. Growth Partners, conversations, and leadership development all flow from biblical truth.

We are not simply transferring information.
We are forming grounded, godly leaders.

If Scripture does not shape the process, it will not shape the leader.

What role does God’s Word play in your mentoring conversations?

Mentor training is where it all begins.

A couple of months ago, we were in Houston at Bay Area Church training 20 mentors, and the hunger in the room was undeniable.

These men are not waiting for someone else to make disciples. They are stepping up and leading right where they are.

There is a deep desire to invest in others, build intentional relationships, and see real transformation take place.

Moments like this are why we offer several mentor training options to support churches and leaders, including in-person training like this one 🙌

If you are thinking about starting mentoring at your church, this is a great next step.

What if mentoring wasn’t just a program… but the standard?

At Northeast Christian Church, mentoring became more than a defined season. It reshaped how they approached discipleship, leadership, and service across the congregation.

The shift wasn’t about adding another ministry. It was about raising the expectation of spiritual growth and equipping people to step into meaningful leadership within the church.

When mentoring becomes part of a church’s culture, the impact reaches far beyond a single group.

If you’re exploring what mentoring could look like in your church, visit our website to learn how to get started.

One man’s obedience has led to 30,000 people walking through a Radical Mentoring journey.

Twenty-five years ago, Pete Loescher sat at a table with Regi Campbell. What started as a small group of men became something far bigger than either of them could have imagined.

That’s how ripples begin. 🌊
One yes. One table. One life poured into another.

And it doesn’t stop there.

There is always someone a few steps behind you who needs someone to show them the way.

If this story moves you, consider being part of the next ripple. Your generosity helps create more tables, more dialogue, and more transformed lives.

What does a thriving mentoring culture actually look like?

Back in February, we hosted a Radical Mentoring Church Partner Call, and Richard Mosqueda (Spiritual Formation Team Lead at Northeast Christian Church in Louisville, KY) shared the top things their church has loved about implementing Radical Mentoring over the past six years.

From commissioning nights and alumni gatherings to monthly mentor reports and ministry plans, these were practical rhythms that have helped mentoring take root in their church.

Swipe through to see the full list, plus a bonus practice they use to launch groups each year.

If your church is ready to build a mentoring pathway that develops disciple-makers and raises up leaders, we’d love to help you get started.

How do pastors lead well without running dry?

Back in February, our Director, Pete Loescher, joined pastors and church leaders from across the country at the Zoe Tribe Pastors’ Cohort at Crosspointe Church in Anaheim, CA, led by Brian Moore.

During the gathering, Pete shared how Radical Mentoring helps close the generational gap by equipping men and women in the church to grow in purpose, accountability, and authentic community as they disciple the next generation.

The cohort focused on what it takes to sustain healthy ministry over time. Matthew Cork unpacked themes from his book Leading from the Strength of Your Weakness.

Conversations engaged principles from Samuel Chand’s Leadership Pain: The Classroom for Growth. Leaders also built personal Replenishment Dashboards to establish rhythms that support long-term spiritual and emotional health.

This time together served as a meaningful reminder that tending to the health of leaders is part of strengthening the Church.
