The 18th annual Derek Teele Memorial Golf Tournament will be held on Saturday, May 30, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at Ardea Country Club (formally East Lake Woodlands). We are looking forward to putting on another great event that will be fun for all those who participate!

Here’s how it works:

•Sign up/register your golf team if you wish to be in the running to get in this year's tournament.

•You have until Friday, April 10th to sign up and be eligible for the random draw. The draw will take place on Tuesday, April 14th.

•You will then be notified if your name was drawn as one of the lucky entries into this year's tournament.

•Once selected, you will then have until Friday, April 24th to pay your team entry fee and fully lock in your spot. NOTE: if we do not receive your team entry fee by the payment deadline, we will have to give up your spot to one of the teams on the waiting list.

Remember, if you can't play golf, there are many other ways to help the cause and show your support such as making a general donation, sponsoring or even donating prizes. Please see the sponsor list attached.

🩷 Birdies for Bo***es: A theme is back! Donations this year will also be made to METAvivor and the Florida Breast Cancer Foundation. So, join in the competition by wearing your best breast cancer awareness attire to be named the best dressed foursome. Reminder: All golfers must still wear proper golf attire.

We hope that you will be one of the lucky teams that gets in to help us celebrate Derek’s life as we raise valuable dollars to help us continue our charitable work in the local community. 🩵

We want to take a moment to honor Chris Hoban, the life he lived, and all he gave to the community. Chris was a huge part of our lives since 1996. Starting from the softball fields with Bob, to youth programs for both Derek and Danielle, continuing as Danielle worked for the City of Dunedin, to supporting the foundation since it began. Our last moments with Hoban were at the corn hole tournament this past February. Hoban came and shared hugs, memories, and even won raffle prizes! We will forever hold on to our memories with Hoban, and remember him for the impact he made on not only the community, but our family. We love you- until we meet again 🩵

We were so proud to attend Greater Dunedin Little League’s Opening Day and support our Cardinals this upcoming baseball season. ⚾️

Baseball was one of many passions for Derek and the Derek Teele Foundation enjoys sponsoring the many interests that Derek loved. 🩵

The Derek Teele Memorial Corn Hole Tournament is only a few days away! If you’re registered, or planning on attending, here is some important information:

The tournament will be held at the Pinehurst Pub in Dunedin this Saturday, February 7th. Only 2 days away! Registration and practice start at 9:30 am and play will begin promptly at 10:30 am.

As usual, the tournament is SOLD OUT!
Cost is $30.00 per player. If you have not yet paid, we would greatly appreciate you doing so before Saturday to make registration quicker and easier. Plus, we have teams on a waiting list and would like to prevent having no shows. That being said, if you registered and can no longer play, please let us know immediately so we can open your spot to someone on the wait list.

You can pay online at derekteelefoundation.com using the "donation" tab or you can send your payment via Venmo @ Bob-Teele or via Zelle at 727-430-1277.

As always, we will have a large number of great raffle prizes including, restaurant gift cards, other gift cards, sports memorabilia, adult libations, gift baskets and packages, lottery tickets, and Tampa Bay Lightning tickets!

The Pub will have food and drink specials all day and evening including hamburgers, hot dogs, $2.00 soft tacos, bucket specials on beer & hard seltzers, $4.00 special shots and $1.00 Jello shots! These items will all be available at the outside grill so that you can grab some quick food & drinks but the Pub's entire menu will be available for you to enjoy!

This year the Pinehurst Pub will, once again, donate a portion of their sales back to the Foundation! Your money is being well spent to support the cause! We ask that you show your respect to the Pub & Foundation and not bring your own alcohol to the event. THANK YOU PINEHURST PUB 😃
