Last night, LLS detected the station's, and possibly Hammock Park's, first Black-bellied Whistling Duck!

I'll now introduce you to the Station's goal for 2025: filling out as many audio recordings and photos of the species that visit Hammock Park as possible. As you can see by the first image below, there are only half as many species needing photos than those that have them. However, there are almost 3x more species needing audio than having it.

This allows the station to play to its strengths: the listening devices (LLS/DLS). I've included each entry in the Hammock Park Illustrated Checklist that the station has a photo or recording of!

The hope is that by the end of the year, the ratio between needing/having audio will be more balanced!
