Before the summer break REVolutions Dance had an amazing time conducting a residency at Purdue University. Because of the unique backgrounds of our dancers, (state certified ESE teacher Dwayne and behavior analyst Vanessa) we were able to create a collaboration that only REVolutions Dance could do.
We created a three tiered collaboration between the Purdue education department, their Dance department and local community based organizations that serve adults and children with disabilities.
Thank you to Dr. Price for getting this collaboration of the ground and making it happen.

Alum and Purdue University assistant professor Richard Price, Ph.D. '24, SPED, was recently featured for his work creating a three-day agenda for REVolutions Dance, a mixed-ability dance group from Florida, to do outreach activities while visiting campus.

We had an incredible time at our summer art camp!
One parent shared, "Camp was fantastic! All instructors were kind, welcoming, and engaging. My daughter had a lot of fun, learned, and tried things she wouldn’t normally do."

To help us bring this experience to even more campers next year, please consider donating to our campaign.

A big thank you to the Theresa Foundation for your generous support for this year!

ID: This image depicts a lively scene of three people seated in a well-lit room, each holding a large orange bucket. The room has a welcoming atmosphere with white drapes and soft lighting, and it is set up for camp activity.
On the left, a person in a wheelchair is smiling and holding the bucket with both hands.
In the center, a man wearing a patterned shirt and jeans appears to be engaged, drumming on the bucket and interacting with others.
On the right, another man, who is wearing dark sunglasses and a black shirt, is laughing joyfully while also holding a bucket. There is his service dog lying beside him.
In the foreground, there is another person visible from behind, wearing headphones and possibly participating in the activity. The overall mood of the image is joyful and inclusive, indicating a fun and engaging music activity.

We are coming up on Monday and that means, it is almost time for REV Art Camp!

This year, we are elated to welcome back Nicole Evens to teach Theatre.

Nicole Evans is in her 4th year teaching Kindergarten at Midtown Academy for Cultural Arts and Gifted Studies in St. Petersburg. Prior to Midtown, Nicole spent 25 years teaching theater arts and improvisation through Ruth Eckerd Hall and the Passport to the Arts Program. Ms. Evans served as Artistic Director for Powerstories Theater in Tampa from 2014-2019 helping to stage true life stories of women and girls. She lives in Safety Harbor with her son Griffin and their dog, Macho and cat, Darwin.

"I look forward to everything about my time at camp but I guess my most favorite thing is helping participants develop the skills needed to quell their inner uncertainty and allow their unique and vibrant inner-selves to be expressed through the artistic process!" -Ms. Evans

Come join in on the fun!

Happy Wednesday Evening!
We are getting so much closer to camp week!

We would like to take this time leading up to REVyouth Art Camp to introduce our amazing teaching artists.

Teaching music, we introduce, Don Laurin.
Don is a musician and melodic storyteller whose heart is firmly rooted in healing traditions of the African Diaspora.
He’s been blessed to learn and to share on six continents.

“An ancient truth: you too are an artist and the world is better with you in it.”
~Don Laurin

Happy Thursday!

We would like to take this time leading up to REVyouth Art Camp to introduce our amazing teaching artists.

Teaching Theatre, we welcome back, Jośe Manuel Domínguez.

José Manuel Domínguez is a performing and teaching artist, community advocate and producer, graduated from the Instituto Superior de Artes (ISA) Havana, Cuba in 1996. Upon his arrival in Miami in 2000, Dominguez began developing a career as an
independent artist, mainly supported by the English-speaking dance community.
In 2011, he founded Antiheroes Project, a non-profit organization that develops and
presents performing art works, workshops, community conversations and literary events, aiming to foster the inclusion of people with and without disabilities within South Florida’s mosaic of multi-diverse communities.
Domínguez has worked and led workshops with contemporary theater and dance
ensembles in Argentina, Cuba, México, Spain and the United States. He is excited about joining again the REVolution Dance team this Summer and unite efforts to help creating another unforgettable experience.

"Some of my most beautiful memories as a teaching artist are rooted in Tampa working with the students of REVolution Dance, so, it means a lot to me to have the chance to be there again this Summer. Looking forward to it!"
