This week is Direct Support Professional week! At Think Ability we celebrate not only the incredible Direct Support Professionals who make a difference every single day but we want to use this opportunity to honor and celebrate every member of our team!

Whether you are a Direct Support Professional, job coach, vocational employee, program manager, office employee, maintenance worker, or part of any other area of our organization, the work you do supports people with disabilities. There is not one job within Think Ability that does not have an impact on the lives of the people we serve.

Think Ability is so much more than a job. It’s showing up, listening, encouraging, advocating, problem-solving, celebrating the little victories, and believing in someone’s potential—even when the road gets challenging.

You help individuals live the lives they choose. We support people in their homes, at work, in the community, and in pursuing the things that matter most to them. You build relationships, create opportunities, protect dignity, and help turn possibilities into accomplishments.

YOU ARE AMAZING! 👏

You work weekends, holidays, early mornings, late nights, and everything in between. You step in when someone needs an extra hand, celebrate birthdays and milestones, encourage someone to try something new, and often do a hundred little things that may never make it into a job description—but make an enormous difference in someone's life.

Happy Independence Day from Think Ability! 🇺🇸

Today, we celebrate the freedoms that make our country strong—and the opportunities those freedoms create for every individual.

At Think Ability, we believe that independence is more than a word. It is the ability to make choices, pursue dreams, contribute to our communities, build meaningful relationships, and live a life of purpose.

For decades, we have been honored to advocate alongside people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, supporting their right to be seen, heard, included, and valued. While there is always more work to do, we are grateful to live in a country where those rights and freedoms matter and where we can continue working toward a future of greater opportunity for all.

As we celebrate this Fourth of July, we honor the courage, sacrifice, and vision that made these freedoms possible.

We would like to recognize Chelsea for the significant growth, improvement, and dedication she has demonstrated over the past month.

Chelsea has worked diligently to help maintain a clean, organized, and efficiently operated kitchen environment. Her commitment to keeping operations running smoothly has not gone unnoticed and is greatly appreciated.

In addition to her operational improvements, Chelsea has consistently demonstrated a positive and professional attitude when interacting with both staff and the individuals we support. Her willingness to assist others, contribute as a team member, and maintain professionalism throughout the workday has had a meaningful and positive impact within the program.

🎉 Caught You Doing Something Great 🎉

A big shoutout to Juan Ramirez for always going above and beyond! Juan recently stayed late to help unload the Kelley’s truck, even after being told he could head home, and also did a fantastic job covering watering duties over the weekend.

Juan consistently brings a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and willingness to help others. We appreciate everything you do, Juan — thank you for being such a dependable part of the team! 👏
