Some will HONOR YOU AS GENUINE & SUPPORT what YOU are trying to do; others will malign and dishonor YOU.
If YOU are trying to impress people to bolster YOUR SELF-ESTEEM, YOU will be devastated when people react negatively. This might cause you to give up on what YOU HAVE STARTED ‼️‼️
Paul received his SELF-ESTEEM FROM HIS RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD and did not need to be honored by others. He knew that he could never please everyone anyway.

LOVE IS A LIFESTYLE in which all YOUR thoughts & ACTIONS are guided by YOUR CONCERN for others.
Most of US need RECOVERY from something because WE have lived for OUR own gratification. As WE sought to escape OUR inner pain through the fleeting pleasures of addictive activities or substances, WE became blind to the needs of the people around US.
That LIFESTYLE left YOUR past littered with hurt people and broken RELATIONSHIPS. A LIFE governed by SELFLESS LOVE is the only path to REBUILDING YOUR broken past.
KNOWING THAT GOD LOVES YOU NO MATTER WHAT YOUR PAST LOOKS LIKE IS THE PLACE FOR THE START TO YOUR RECOVERY‼️‼️‼️

YOUR addiction interferes with YOUR ABILITY TO WIN IN THE RACE OF LIFE‼️‼️‼️
Many of US feel like a loser who has just dropped out of the race.
FAITH IN GOD can give YOU the MOTIVATION to run the race, with a real chance at winning LIFE’S rewards.
Hebrews 11 has been called the “The Hall of FAITH” or “The FAITH character”.
It mentions a long list of people whose lives were used by GOD because of their FAITH. The next chapter (12) begins this way:

“Therefore, Since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race GOD has set before us.
( Hebrews 12:1)

This illustration referred to the ancient Olympic Games. In BIBLE times men wore flowing robes. Before an event, the athletes would strip off their robes and lay them aside to run without encumbrance. If someone tried to compete in his robe, he would get tangled up, losing both the race and the prize.
It is GOD’S WILL for YOU TO WIN THE RACE OF LIFE. The robe of YOUR recurring sins needs to be laid aside. There might be pain from the exertion, but WE are told to pace ourself and bear the pain with patience. And REMEMBER, others who have ran the same race and FINISHED WELL are cheering YOU on ‼️‼️‼️
