Helping Mamas provides baby supplies, furniture and equipment to non-profits serving low income women and children. When mamas and babies have their basic needs met, they are able to benefit from the services provided by traditional non-profits: shelter from domestic violence, parenting education, job training and coaching, financial coaching, support services for medically fragile children and th

eir families, etc. Our "Helping Mamas" volunteer and pay it forward every day. They organize baby supplies and deliver to our partner organizations. They host baby showers, diaper drives and help us raise in-kind and monetary donations to help mamas take care of their children's needs.

Our partner distribution program exists because we know that getting essential items to families means meeting them where they are. Church of Atlanta Light House is a perfect example of that in action. Through their food pantry and homeless ministry, they serve one of Atlanta's most underserved communities — and now, alongside food, they are able to offer diapers, hygiene products, and other essentials to the families and individuals who walk through their doors. We are grateful for partners like Liz and the entire Church of Atlanta Light House team who make that possible.

For the second consecutive year, Fidelity Investments welcomed Helping Mamas Atlanta to their office for a kit-making event. Their team packed each kit with quality items and included handwritten notes for the moms who will receive them. It is the kind of detail that turns a donation into something deeply personal. Our warehouse shelves are telling us something. 👀 Right now, we have a high need for hygiene items, wipes, tote bags, and newborn diapers. If you have any of these on hand or want to do a drive, every single item makes a difference for families in our community. A huge thank you to Gresham Smith's Atlanta office for showing up in a major way for Period Poverty Awareness Week! 🩷 Their team came together for a Kit-Making Event and collected over 3,300 items and assembled 116 period poverty kits. Diapers are not a luxury. They are a necessity, and for too many families, affording them means choosing between a box of diapers and keeping the lights on. According to the 2026 National Diaper Bank Network Diaper Check, 45% of households experiencing diaper insecurity have skipped bill payments to afford diapers. 34% have skipped meals. 29% have delayed rent or a mortgage payment. These are not isolated stories. This is the reality diaper banks exist to address, and it is why Helping Mamas shows up every single month.

The first part of May brought some incredible support to our warehouse, and we are so grateful.

Thank you to HomeAid Georgia, Atlanta for selecting Helping Mamas as a recipient in their annual Essential Items donation drive. Over 11,000 diapers of all sizes, including adult diapers, plus wipes came through our doors because of their effort.

Thank you to Stonemount Financial Group for organizing a drive that brought in diapers, feeding supplies, period products, and cloth items.

Thank you to Saint Martin Lutheran Church - Atlanta for showing up for the second year in a row with 3,000 diapers and over 80 packs of wipes.

And thank you to the Atlanta Gladiators for donating diapers and baby essentials to the families we serve.

This community shows up. Every single time.
