Sugarloaf Community Improvement District

The Sugarloaf CID is a self-taxing district of commercial properties investing in infrastructure, public safety, and beautification of the area.

The Sugarloaf CID represents the heart of Gwinnett County – a thriving business community and a vibrant regional arts and entertainment center. It is home to world-class restaurants, businesses and cultural events. This is where Gwinnett comes to connect. enities. The CID is a self-taxing district comprised of commercial properties. CIDs are an effective tool for financing improvements that enhance property values by allowing property owners to determine how funds are spent in the district. These funds can also leverage additional public and private funding for infrastructure improvements.

We enjoyed co-hosting public outreach for the Sugarloaf Small Area Plan at the County's Multicultural Festival in early May with Gwinnett County Planning & Development. This event, held at Sugarloaf Mills, offered the community members a chance to give great feedback and share ideas for the Sugarloaf area through interactive activities.

Our mission to create a more connected district continues with our new artistic crosswalks that connect to the updated bus stop. Located at the southern entrance of Gas South District, these projects help improve both transit access and pedestrian safety. Stay tuned for more CID updates as we celebrate our 10th anniversary!
