Employers know where talent gaps are affecting their teams. Educators understand what students need to enter the workforce prepared. Progress happens when those perspectives meet. The Workforce Summit, presented by TRC Talent Solutions will create space for hiring leaders and educational partners to examine today’s workforce challenges and explore solutions that can be put into practice across Gwinnett.

Join us October 22 at Gwinnett Technical College to build connections, exchange insight and help turn shared challenges into collective action. The workforce conversation does not end with identifying what is missing. That is where the work begins.

Two wins. One powerful story for Gwinnett’s growing life sciences ecosystem. This week, Georgia Life Sciences recognized two outstanding Gwinnett achievements during its Golden Helix Awards:

🔬 UCB USA ‘s transformational $2 billion investment at Rowen Foundation was named a 2026 Deal of the Year, celebrating a project that will establish the company’s first U.S. pharmaceutical biologics manufacturing facility and create 330 new jobs.

🎓 The Gwinnett Regional Science, Engineering + Innovation Fair received the Community Award for its work inspiring students to explore, research and pursue careers in science, engineering and technology.

Together, these honors represent both ends of Gwinnett’s growing life sciences ecosystem: the investments creating future opportunities and the community leaders preparing the next generation to pursue them.

In our latest blog, we explore how Gwinnett’s education pipeline, collaborative partnerships and transformational investments are positioning the community to power the next generation of life sciences growth.

Congratulations to UCB, Rowen Foundation, Gwinnett Regional Science, Engineering + Innovation Fair and all the partners helping build the future of life sciences in Gwinnett!

You know what might be even better than watching someone receive a Movers & Makers Award live? Seeing that recognition out in the wild! 🏆 During a recent connection with Ricoh Electronics, Inc., we spotted their 2026 Movers & Makers Award proudly on display—recognizing the team as our Large Manufacturer of the Year.

And we have to admit, seeing it displayed never gets old. These awards celebrate the companies, teams and people who are making things, creating jobs and driving Gwinnett’s manufacturing industry forward every day.

For Ricoh, this year’s award also brings things full circle. Ricoh was one of the original Movers & Makers award winners when the program launched in 2013. More than a decade later, this year’s recognition is a testament to their continued impact on manufacturing in Gwinnett.

Congratulations again to the entire Ricoh team—we love seeing you showcase this well-earned recognition! 👏

Join us on October 28 at the John C. Maxwell Leadership Center for the 2026 Metro Atlanta Redevelopment Summit.

As development patterns shift across the region, communities are facing pivotal questions: How can Tax Allocation Districts create impact beyond their boundaries? What comes next for aging office parks? And how can major redevelopment projects respond to a changing market while supporting broader community goals?

The Summit will bring together community development professionals, public leaders, and private partners to explore these questions through Metro Atlanta project spotlights, candid panel discussions, and examples of redevelopment in action.

If your work influences how communities grow, reinvest, and adapt, make plans to be part of the conversation.
